I live very close to Thai son, so I frequent it maybe once a week on average. I was drawn in by their affordable prices and... excellent dish quality. Service is very friendly as well. The only slight downside is that they only accept cash. However, thereis an atm machine directly across the street in kings gate mall so I?ll just pop by there before hand and all is well. If youare looking for some good and authentic food, can?t recommend this place enough. I usually get the Bún bò Hu? (30) and an iceddrip coffee. So those are my recommendations. Orders usually take around 10-15 minutes to be made, so it?s good to stop by kingsgate mall while you wait for your order and just see what?s there ig. Read more

I happened to see this restaurant while I was in the area, the food was amazing. I had the special pho and it was delicious. The... broth was full of flavour, the meat was tender and the noodles were so good. I'm happy I found this place! Read more

This restaurant is my most preferred place for Vietnamese noodles. Toppings and noodles are in good proportions and the soup... base is very tasty without the feel of msg. Cost is average and service is good. It's an older restaurant and is clean. Read more

This modest no fuss Vietnamese restaurant has been our go to for pho for years. Their bone broth is rich and flavourful and I... have not found any better. Tuesday is 10 percent discount day but we never remember! We have been creatures of habit so theyknow what will order 95% of the time, but I do want to try other dishes from time to time?. Their prices have gone up latelybut still cheap, cash only as has been mentioned by other reviewers. Read more

Came for a late lunch with a Vietnamese friend who?d been craving, in their words, ?really good pho? as they?d been missing... their mum?s cooking since moving out from Ontario a few months ago; both other places they?d been to were in their view: veryaverage and overpriced. The space was tidy, relaxed and had a few other diners when we arrived, the lady behind the counter wasbusy but gestured to seat ourselves. They brought us menus and then did a vaxx-passport and photo ID match check. Serves of hottea quickly came next and our orders taken. It couldn?t have been much more than 5-minutes before our large bowl of steaming hotpho arrived, and the piece of lemon grass chicken a couple of minutes later. My friend thoroughly enjoyed their #1 pho- housespecial $12.25, flavourful broth, very fresh and pretty generous serves of the different beef ingredients. I had the #9 pho-rare beef, brisket, tendon $11.95 and had the spicy broth: seriously delicious. The beef slices were tender, the brisket was thekind that almost melts in your mouth, and the pieces of tendon were so so tender. I really like that the bean sprouts arequickly blanched before they?re served - still crisp but temperature wise, they don?t cook down the pho when they?re added. Ohand the lemongrass chicken had a really good cook/grill on it and was well-seasoned and so more-ish! Service wise, both ladiesthat we interacted with were cordial and super efficient! Servings were definitely generous, both had to-go boxes for thethird/half our pho because it was too good to leave. No doubt I?ll be back for my next casual Vietnamese meal. Until next time! Well, we have been coming here for only the last 15 years or so. Big Dan told me about it and I have never forgiven him for not... telling us sooner (lol). We were in mourning when they were closed for way too long because of the fire. This is a veryunpretentious restaurant that puts their energy into the quality of their food and not into the decor. Totally gets our vote.Like a good Boy Scout that learnt my lessons well and have not forgotten I always ? come prepared ? ( & bring cash $) but noneed to bring a lot as these people charge a very reasonable price for a very very good tasting heart / stomach warming meal.Everyone (other than the regulars ) were required to show their COVID pass and id today which is as it should be. We will beback for sure ! Read more
