I went out with a friend of mine to try The Arbor, which is a Vegetarian restaurant in Vancouver, on Main St. We ordered Spicy... Carrot Dip, Fried Oysters, The BBQ burger, and The Southern Fried Artichoke Sandwich. Spicy Carrot Dip: Loved this dish. Verytasty, with just the right amount of spice. Fried Oysters: These were deep fried oyster mushrooms. They were basically like aVegan version of Kalamari. You really couldn't tell that they were mushrooms. My little girl, who dislikes mushrooms but lovesKalamari would have loved this dish! The BBQ Burger: My friend said the patty was mushy and heavy compared to the rest of herburger. It had good flavor, but a bit heavy on the salt for her liking. The Southern Fried Artichoke Sandwich: Huge sandwich!Packed with flavor and texture. It was cut up into two halves, and each piece was quite large. I ate one half and brought theother half home. My picky eating girl tried it and loved it; so did my husband. Highly recommend this sandwich for Vegans,Vegetarians, or even meat eaters! Service: Good Parking: Paid parking along Main St. Free parking on some of the side streetsif you're lucky enough to find it! Location: Busy, energetic location with lots of different businesses on the street. Read more

Love the place with very nice settings, plants around. We arrived at around 4-5pm and sat by the window, the sunlight was... amazing. Great selection of vegetarian dishes. Very creative. I had the kimchi burger and it was good. They have a sister restonearby that I wanna try - The Acorn Read more

It’s a sister restaurant of Acorn so you know you’re getting quality vegetarian dishes! We started off with fried oyster... mushrooms which were fantastic - crispy on the outside and warm and soft on the inside. The main course was fried artichokesandwich which I must say was better than most meat-based sandwiches! We ordered a side of fries as well and I think the ketchupwas home-made because it definitely wasn’t store bought. The waiter was also very friendly and the patio has a very nicevibe. We will definitely be visiting again and I highly recommend that if you’re ever in the neighborhood, you give them achance :D Read more

Good vegetarian option. I had the bowl which specified roasted chickpeas but it was actually not roasted, only soft chickpeas…... pretty good anyways. It’s a nice place with good service and the plants decorating are lovely! Read more

Despite the tag as a vegetarian option, the Arbor had a fair share of interesting seafood options (scallops & oysters),... therefore, pescatarian would be a more accurate description. A wonderful ambience and a great spot for a date. The food wasfantastic, not too heavy yet filling. The fried artichoke sandwich was incredible, and our server Julia was amazing. I willdefinitely be returning and I suggest a night out here if you can grab a table at this hidden gem. Read more

Food was pretty good and service was amazing. I'm just not a big fan of vegan burger, but for those people that are vegetarian... and vegan I think its a great option. The pasta we had was a little too sour. I wouldn't order that again. Read more
