We have been going to this restaurant for years both during the summer and the winter season and it never disappoints. You need... to order off the fresh list and the chef does an amazing job of any of the fresh fish. The service is always excellent and thestaff is very accommodating. The oysters are excellent. We usually go every December for my daughter?s birthday, we get a nicebig round table and have a great time. It is not pricey, considering how fresh this seafood is. Read more

Parking: We were fortunate to find disabled parking between the public market and the sandbar on the first round. Only pay for... parking between 10am-6pm. It was the weekend, we were famished after a tour in Vancouver and we had no reservation with the Sandbar at the time. The... wonderful staff of Sandbar Seafood Restaurant were very accommodating and got us somewhere to sit so we can enjoy a nice meal(with a view) and some drinks. Even before ordering food, we were already happy with the quality of the service which wasconsistently excellent throughout the evening. We ordered the rainbow sushi roll, wok fried squid and some truffle fries. Thesushi was a delight to eat. The rice had the consistency that?s expected of good sushi and the umami was evident from eating thefirst sushi. The truffle fries was a pretty solid side dish too. However, our favourite will have to be the signature woksquid. The squid was both tender and flavourful and just had the right level of ?wake your taste buds up? spiciness. Absolutelystunning dish. Fantastic service - they gave us information about the seafood options and catch of the day and took really good care of... us. Food was delicious - tried the oysters, trout and scallops. Loved my experience at Sandbar When I visited a few days ago, it felt definitely different from last time I was here. I felt... the place was a lot more cleaner, cozier than before. Folks were very friendly and approachable and was able to throw some goodsuggestions for our group. They seemed to highlight on their seafood items and it was definitely worth trying. I liked howtheir seafood items not too salty and well balanced (texture, portion, presentation) Would suggest to go slightly earlier thanregular dinner time (like early 5pm) otherwise you might have to wait & place might be quite busy even during weekdays. Theyalso have patio upstairs with fireplace so it won't be too cold if you were sitting near there (and I'm sure you could ask for ablanket if needed) Read more

Excellent Excellent Excellent Just went there today to celebrate my sister?s birthday ???? and we hit a prime seat on the patio!... Our server Raj was very personable and friendly. Food was delicious, we got the 6 raw oysters ????, French fries ????, and thechar fish ???? with potatoes ???? and coconut ???? rice ????! Delicious! There was absolutely no downside! Big restaurant with different settings. Our server was Doug and he was super nice, always checking on us and giving us status... of our food. Kudos to Doug! I recommend you make a reservation online as the place is busy and in high demand. Food was goodand right sized. Do not expect big portions. The food was great. Very fresh seafood. Our sever was amazing - he noticed I didn?t touch my drink and offered to take it off... the tab. We had questions about the different oysters and he took the time to go and ask for clarification from the kitchen. Thefood was delicious and all the items were consistent. There was live music too.
