Came to this restaurant numerous times for takeout and dine in. Food was always good. Portions were great and prices were... reasonable. Highly recommend the Sweet Soy Deung Galbi Jjim. Excellent flavour and the meat just fell off the bone. TheDdukbokki was a bit disappointing this time. It was too soft and mushy, not the chewy texture I was hoping for. Overall, this isa great restaurant in an area with not many Korean food options. I would recommend it! Read more

Favourite Korean restaurant!! Everything here is always perfect. They have the absolute best seafood green onion pancake... anywhere - sooo crispy and the sauce with it is unreal. The pork belly in gochujang and the beef spare ribs are amazing as well,as is the soondubu jigae. They serve an assortment of delicious side dishes with everything, the kimchi is of course ourfavourite. Read more

Finally got a chance to check out Yook on Nanaimo a few weeks ago. The food was pretty good. Japchae came out fast and the... chicken bulgogi was tasty and came with rice cakes. Although they told us the bulgogi wasn't too spicy, we thought it was stillpretty spicy. The pork bone soup had a nice broth. Interior was kind of warm but that might have been exacerbated by the hotweather and the spicy food. Read more

Been here many times. Everything is always good. Servers are attentive and would check in on us frequently and ask us if... everything tasted good. Will be always one of my go-to Korean restaurants in East Vancouver. A big plus. Their seafood greenonion pancake is sooo good. Stays crispy for so long. Perfection! Read more

We decided to try this place because I wanted to try something that was different instead of always heading to Chosun. What... would be different? What does Yook have? I decided on an appetizer and tried their deep fried dumplings. I found it differentand would have wished for a boiled version as well, but yeah, it was good. My wife ordered the beef bulgogi and I had some ofit. A bit dry on the top pieces and I wished for more sweet soy to soak it up to go with my rice. I ordered the sweet soy porkbelly and it was good, but I have to say that I have a sweet tooth and I like my sauces sweet. I'd still come again to eat here Read more

I visited Yook a few weeks ago and WOW, so so so so delicious. Each dish had so much flavor, the spicy pork belly was very... tender and a great portion for the price. I have had seafood pancake at other restaurants and it has been uncooked or too muchdough. This was the perfect green onion seafood pancake, the dough was soooo crunchy and the fillings so fresh, HUGE portion andthe hot plate it comes on keeps it hot for the entire meal. I ate the leftovers cold the next day and it was great that way aswell .Our server was kind and helpful , I will for sure be back 5/5! Read more

Beautiful, clean interior with lots of plants. The food is delicious and prices are reasonable (under $15 for most hot pot &... rice bowls). It gets crowded in the weekends so good to go earlier in the week. Read more
