I\'m a little disappointed. I know a sign of good BBQ is when they cook what they think they will use in a day. We arrived about... 21/2 hours before closing and they were out of ribs and the Mac& cheese. Ordered pulled pork and it was not even warm but hadgood flavor. Also had the brisket, and found this very good and cooked to perfection. Had a nice bark with great flavor. Thecornbread was nice and the coleslaw was excellent. They tried to make the pulled pork right but the 2nd plate was not anybetter. You can see Blessings it\'s on the verge of going from good to great, but they do need to work on a few things. Nice and cozy location. The staff was super nice and friendly. I got the brisket plate that came with two side. The brisket was... awesome and the sauce they give you was rich and not overbearing. I was not a fan of the Mac salad. It was bland and seemed dryas if the noodles were not cooked all the way. The staff offered to let me trade it out so I had the collard greens and bakedMac and cheese which both were delicious. Will probably return to try their pork or chicken. Read more

First time I went I enjoyed the beef brisket with beans , plus some delicious blueberry cobbler. Beans are very flavorful (not... vinegary or sweet). Brisket was moist and tender. I like the BBQ sauce; not too spicy and not too sweet. Just right!\nI also hadthe chance to sample some of the house made sausage that will be coming to the menu soon. You can taste pepper, but it?s nothot.\nI liked the whole meal so much I went back again just a week later. This time I enjoyed the pulled pork tacos?and someblueberry cobbler. Buttery and delicious! Got pork to go. Not shredded big chuncks hard to eat on the go. Not much flavor included sauce was from a bottle not home made.... I could make better on my pellet grill. Not impressed paid 10 for half a pound of pork. Read more

Well this was a pleasant surprise to visit and dine at this new restaurant in the neighborhood! The service was outstanding.... Very attentive and friendly. Prices were extremely fair. They were able to accommodate gluten free options and the flavors wereoutstanding. We will definitely be returning to dine in again! I will probably try the family meals to go as well. On an errand in the area, I see the holy letters BBQ, like a lighthouse sighted during a raging storm, although it is only... raining a little. I do a fast U turn and hustle myself into the cute yellow bungalow to see what I can see and taste what I cantaste. I will admit I ate recently, but BBQ is BBQ and such treasure should never be passed.\n\nNow BBQ is expensive, there\'sno denying this and the fact that $20 plus tip doesn\'t really buy you much more meat than a quick snack will not be heldagainst them. Unless cash is falling out of your pockets, BBQ is always going to be a bit of an extravagance. Still, the threepieces of BBQ Ribs did look a little lonely sitting there on the plate. That why they give you two sides and this is where theproblem arises. The baked beans are good, savory and sweet. My wife might hate me later, but I could eat a lot of these.\n\nButthe Mac and Cheese was literally horrible. Bland, tasteless, blah... My tastebuds were as insulted as if they were a prom datetaken to a McDonald\'s. If you\'re going to give filler to assuage the craving of our stomaches you need to put some thoughtinto it. At the price, I want my cup of Mac and Cheese to sing to me like a nightingale. I want it to whisper I love you as Ilay my head on my pillow. I\'ve had better out of packages.\n\nThe Ribs were great, 2-3 bites each and I liked the sauce. Theplace itself is cute as a bug\'s nose, I love these places that spring up in old houses like a sweet mix of old memories andhopeful dreams. I took a quick look at the lunch menu and I might give it a try for more mundane fare. A good BLT is about asclose to God as I am ever likely to reach. As a BBQ joint, I\'m taking the Mac and Cheese as a slap across the face. Either moremeat, or better sides. It shows a lack of attention that does not speak of a passion for food. Read more
