The first time my family and I went there we waited for someone to seat us and no one even acknowledged us so we left. We... decided to give them another try a few weeks later (as we live walking distance away) and we are so glad we did. We have gone 2other times now within a week or 2 both times with great experiences. We've also had the same server both times and weabsolutely adore him. The food and drinks are great and come out super fast. Read more

We were on our last day of our honeymoon mini-vacation and we wanted something good and hardy. Problem always is finding a good... restaurant with REAL gluten-free meals. Not just salad. We were shocked at how much Farrars had as far as Gluten-free. And bestpart....GLUTEN-FREE DESSERTS! And of course drinks. (Wife recommends the espresso martini and chocolate martini) myrecommendation...RIBS! Wait staff is awesome, and the outside patio is perfect for a mid 70* night. Read more

My husband and I were given a $100 gift certificate over a year ago and finally remembered to use it last week. This is not a... restaurant we go to regularly and, quite honestly, never think to go there. We have only been for happy hour a few years ago. Ican not tell you what a disappointing evening it was. We were seated on the patio and the service was the worst we have had inyears. The server was unfriendly and once we had our meal, we were ignored. We were never asked if we wanted another round ofdrinks (we only had one), our water glasses were never refilled and sat empty most of the meal, we were never asked how our mealwas and it took a very long time to get our check. This was on a Thursday night and it was not busy. I really try to give allservers a lot of grace because of the craziness of the restaurant business, but this was down right rude. Our appetizer was goodand my husband really like his dinner. My dinner was fair. And to top it all off, the server refused to take the giftcertificate. Keep in mind that there is no expiration date, nor any verbiage indicating any anything of the sort on the giftcertificate itself. When we asked why, our server told us there was a change of ownership and that it was posted ?all oversocial media? that gift certificates were not going to be accepted anymore and then told us that ?she didn?t make the rules?.She also told us she was not going to ask management because ?she knew what the answer was going to be.? I find it interestingit was assumed we follow the on social media and were treated so rudely that we didn?t. We will not be back. Read more

My wife and I came here to celebrate and we are glad we did! A great cozy atmosphere, not too stuffy or sprawling. The service... was great, the food came quickly, the servers were all kind and helpful. We had the tomato bisque soup, which was hearty anddelicious. Then we ordered the ribeye cut of the week, and the carbonara. It was so nice just enjoying delicious food, and nothaving to pretend it was better than it was. It was fantastic. The prices were totally reasonable. I can't think of any reasonnot to give it five stars! Excellent work! Read more

Excellent service, outstanding food thats 'farm to table' fresh served in a warm family friendly atmosphere. The menus diverse... choice of comfort food (meatloaf, pizza and salmon) with the full service bar, which rotates local brews on 11 taps, adistinctive wine list and spirits, has just as many options to compliment your dinner selection. I have been coming here ever since they opened and have always enjoyed the customer service, the ambiance. and most of all the... beautiful local and seasonal food choices. It has been expensive, but worth every penny due to the high end ingredients. Theselection of mixed drinks are always fun and seasonal as well. Today, however was the most disappointed that I have been. Themenu was cut severely, to save money, I was told. I can understand minimizing the number of items available when sufferingfinancial difficulties, but the items cut out were the most popular dishes. It is no longer a "Bistro" menu, but a bar menu, serving grilled cheese and chicken strips. High end, items, artesian style dishes are gone, the portion size wete also cut inhalf. I enjoy dessert and they make the best creme bruleé around. There are no longer dessert menu items, and when I asked ifthere were any. They offered sliced cheesecake and berry cobbler. Cobbler! What heaven I thought. Light, sweet moist, berrydrenched goodness. What I received was something that woul have been served on the Oregon trail out of the back of a wagon. Ahard, flavorless flour puck with whipped cream and a small amount of a berry compote. I love this place and the customer serviceis wonderful. I want a reason to keep coming back. I feel like it's my hometown restaurant and very much anyway coming on aweekly basis. I also enjoy your fundraisers that you do. I would love to see those more often as well as I love donating tothem. Please please reconsider your menu choices. Saving money in food costs loses money with high paying customers likemyself. I love the neighborhood and this small Hometown Bistro field. There are always a lot of friendly like-minded peoplethere as well. I want to keep coming, but don't drink. There are so many bars around. Please bring back your chef inspiredmenu. Pictured is my dessert with burnt corners,as I brought it home to photograph it in better lighting. Read more
