The hotel I stayed in recommended Mc Grath's to eat at. Very convenient as it was literally across the street from my hotel. I... could have walked over. I was super hungry and ordered more than I could eat. I took over half of my food back to the hotel andhad it late that night and in the morning. I ordered fish with fries and got 2 pieces of chips and 2 pieces of halibut. I alsowanted a salad and got the edge salad. You can't go wrong with this salad. Could eat as a meal all by itself. So many toppingsand the flavor is just superb. Strongly recommend doing in here if you are visiting or a native to the state. Staff was superfriendly as well. Read more
We started off with high expectations- the decoration is lovely and the staff is very friendly and courteous. They’re... definitely understaffed but they still do their best. We started off with samplers and those were nice! But their entrees werecompletely devoid of flavor and needed to be HEAVILY seasoned with salt and pepper which still… wasn’t enough! 2.5 Stars. Pretty disappointed in the quality of food at this location. We ordered the crab cakes as an appetizer and the center... was freezing cold. They provided a replacement but they are low quality and flavorless. The crab and shrimp pasta includedboiled, flavorless shrimp with garlic cream sauce like water. The “wood fired prawns” were boiled and finished off with abrûlée torch to look wood fired. Also, we waited ten minutes for our beverages, after the appetizers arrived. The place wasprobably less than half full and it took way too long for our food to arrive. The staff were very friendly on a lighter note.The salads are really good with good dressing and the crab and artichoke dip was tasty as well. The lack of quality and serviceis probably attributed to the recent labor shortages. Won’t be returning though. Read more
Haven't been to this McGrath's location for a long time - just too many other options in the area. Really glad I checked it... out. Service was good (tends to be slow first me, other find it more relaxing), personable, and attentive. Menu and drinkoptions are excellent and the food was outstanding in terms of flavor. Portions were decent. Definitely on my short list now. Read more
I’m so happy I ordered fresh oysters and calamari for starter although the calamari was overcooked and a little chewy?? I... ordered the Dungeness crab w/ drawn butter ???? It had been several years since we had been at a McGrath's and it was our first time at the Vancouver location. We were very... happy with the food and the service. We ordered coconut shrimp for our appetizer which was very subtle in the coconut flavor butthe shrimp were perfectly cooked and plump. My husband got the cup of clam chowder and he enjoyed so much he said next time hewill get a bowl of it. The bread was a sourdough which was soft on the inside and crusty and chewy on outside. My coleslaw wasbland, added salt and pepper to it, my husband thought it was just a bit bitter. Our halibut was perfectly cooked and wastender. Our fries were hot and crispy.
