McMenamins are always a fun option for our family. This location provides great views of the Columbia River. The food is good,... they have decent sandwiches, burgers and salads. Their appetizers are also very tasty. They brew their own beers and have a niceselection of three ciders plus a seasonal flavor. Their root beer is great too! Perfect day to lunch on the patio! Great view and pasta was perfect!! The not so perfect: understaffed maybe but the service... was lacking. Food arrived before drinks. Only soda was RC products ( not expected) $25 pasta dish with 99 cent soda not the bestmatch. Seemed to be only one waitress she kept the water filled but that was pretty much it. Karista was so sweet, attentive and phenomenal. Our food was amazing, the Cajun tots are the best I?ve ever had and the mystic... 18 sauce is so good alongside. The rest of the staff including her helped us greatly with drink recommendations. The view wasincredible. Mark also was so attentive and intuitive at the bar. Nice place to sit outside and enjoy the view. I gave them 4 stars due to the fact I ordered a diet coke it was flat and they... didn't fix it so I drank water. But I will also say they were busy but I can't be the only one that drinks diet coke anyways ifyou go on the evening it's really a nice place . I love McMenamins! I am a local and vistit different locations search time I go somewhere new. The staff at the Columbia... location are all friendly and kind as well as expiditious as it can get busy during dinner. This chain is great for families,couples, friends, or even just being alone. On the Columbia is tucked away surrounded by hotels sitting right off of theColumbia River; when the weather is permitting, the nearly wrap around seating with beautiful views outside is worth theoccasional spout of wind.
