Being from the bay area (San Jose) , I am always on the hunt for high quality pho, which is indicated in its broth. But more so... finding one in Vancouver was challenging. I wanted a place close enough that I can door dash or visit. I was in luck! I foundout this place via door dash on one of my hungover days and was drawn to it almost immediately. I've had both the chicken andbeef pho and the broth for both are delicious! This past Saturday I finally went inside to eat in the restaurant after a longVegas weekend. I honestly feel bad giving a lower rating because the service was so incredibly nice. I was greeted by such a kind and warm... older woman who quickly served me. I got my food quickly too... a little too quickly. It tasted as though it was heatedunevenly, like it came out of the microwave. I also found a hair in the chicken that definitely was not mine, which left me kindof disturbed. The flavors were good, but I was not pleased by how it was prepared. This is our new Thai, Chinese, and Vietnamese take out place. It is much closer to our house and they are more consistent. I... don't have very many pictures because we ordered to go due to being at home sick, but plan to dine-in in the near future andupdate. The service is friendly, quick, and food is delicious. Of all the pho places I’ve been, this is up front the most charming. It felt welcoming and quaint, right down to the older... lady with the grey hair who waited on me with such a pleasant and calming manner. First thing I notice is the complete condimentselection, nicely arranged and generous. So many places skimp on that, like they don’t trust you not to use too much or stuffit in your bag. I got the spicy Vietnamese broth and steam came rolling off the bowl like mists rising from the ancientforests. When the broth arrived, I was disappointed in the accompanying basil, it was skimpy and very wilted and I was ready towrite the place off. But then I addressed the broth and it was spectacular! It’s that thing where I can smell the fish saucebut only taste a profound savory depth. It’s rare I don’t add a little hoisin or chili sauce, but the broth was perfect justas it came. I love a good thick chewy noodle and this was excellent. When I went to take a drink of water, I was pleased by thehint of lemon, a gesture of care that I find powerful and attractive. When the waitress brought tea, she poured politely andarranged my cup for me in a convenient position, I suspect she is one of the owners as she has that ability to show confidenceand strength through quiet service. It was special. Back to the basil, on my next visit if it’s wilted again I will remove astar, because really? Edit: 2nd and third visits, perfect basil. This is my favorite Pho restaurant! It’s the best Pho I’ve ever had! Their broth is just home made and super special flavor!... I really recommend the vegetable and the chicken Pho! Wonderful food. The person serving the food was extremely helpful and responsive. The order was made very quickly. The online... ordering system said that the food will be done after 9:00 p.m., but they were done within 15 minutes of order. The food wasdelicious. The parking lot was very tight, but workable.
