The Grocery is a top-notch bar for cocktails and small plates. Their menu is always creative, eclectic, and of the highest... quality. They make many of their mixers, syrups, and accouterments themselves, and their care and craft putting it all togetheris evident. The one caveat: I would say from my experience this is the kind of bar you should go to if you already know what youlike, you are familiar with high-end spirits, and you are up for trying something new. This is definitely 'the place' for cocktails in Vancouver. Going above and beyond is standard service every time I've been here.... On one visit, a friend mentioned one of their more unusual liquors and the bartender made sure they got to try several differentversion and gave them a quick lesson on it. The food is top level, cooked to perfection. I really appreciate the small platesand snack options. Read more
Great service and very friendly staff. So why the three? We didn't order a whole lot but they were out of the two most important... things we wanted (I guess some or most of their ingredients were not in stock) from their menu and neither of us liked any ofthe drinks we had. Taste is highly subjective but I thought "This Years Model" while done with with an excellent presentation,tasted really, really awful. Read more
Quite a few years ago, I first walked into this place as the bartender put the needle down on a Pixies vinyl. "Hey" started to... play, which I had been listening to again in decade cycles, you know...just came back around and what not. All of the spiritswere from WA, which I obviously thought was awesome, but then I looked at their at-the-time cocktail list and it became apparentthat I was looking at something more like alchemy, rather than just classic pre-prohibition cocktails or some derivative. Thisplace served and still serves the best cocktails I've ever had, in general, even though the list continually changes. It's likean adventure of what you could do, might think about doing, or just whatever the hell. Great vibe here with good tunes where themusic genre depends on the bartender mood. The food is and has always been great too. Usually with a southern influence. Thepicture is their bourbon egg white whiskey sour and I have not had a better one anywhere, ever. Read more
Wonderful atmosphere inside, even if you're just getting takeout! They have a good menu, and I would highly recommend their... Alfredo macaroni and cheese, perfectly spiced with herbs, and sophisticated yet simple. The bartender who helped take my orderwas very friendly and provided good service. Also, the prices here are surprisingly reasonable for what you get. Read more

Loving that we live only 15 minutes from this gem. We love the atmosphere and the vibe. It's very chill and almost feels like a... speakeasy but it's not. My boyfriend and I sat at the bar and the bartenders were really great. I wanted an old fashioned with asmoky flavor to it and they definitely delivered! Not much food options but I get it, it's mainly just bar eats. We had thepopcorn and baguette with cheese spread and it had a lot of flavor. The food menu is more for munchies not meant for dinneralthough they do have burgers available. We would definitely come again. Read more
Came here to celebrate with a friend on a weekday! Great atmosphere and food selection. The burger is really that good. Also had... the special soup of the day and it was beautiful! Try their hot cocktail also. Had a great time and good food! Prices are alsoreasonable. Read more
