It was my favorite pizza anywhere when it was Duddys. But what can you do? Dommys doesn't disappoint though and I'm really... glad that someone is still doing pizza at that location. My preferences are simple: a pepperoni pizza and some canned alcoholin a booth. I've been pleased on all three counts every time I have been. The pizza is good and it's one of the only pizzaplaces where I will eat most of the crust. I like that kind of texture. Good amount of cheese, too. The tables were clean andthe staff was very friendly, direct and helpful. Television was kind of loud with a ballgame on. As someone who grew up inVandergrift, it feels so quintessentially Pennsylvanian in there. I love the area and I love the vibe. Lastly, the beerselection is TOP NOTCH. Lots of unique and regional beers from PA and Ohio. Not a lot of small towns have a selection of thiscaliber and Vandergrift should be grateful that they keep that channel flowing. If they had a no star rating?better yet, a negative star rating, I?d choose that because they don?t deserve the 1 star that I... gave. The food was absolutely terrible. I read other reviews, so I guess I should have heeded the warnings. Not only was thefood a hot mess, but my order was incorrect. They didn?t have an item that was offered on the Bring Me That app, so they took itupon themselves to send a hoagie in the place of wings. The hoagie was dry, the bread looked old?just overall another hot mess.I called them to tell them I thought I received someone else?s order because it wasn?t what I requested. They told me that theyINTENDED to send that hot mess to me & basically, oh well. The God in me sat me back down because I promise you I grabbed mykeys & was headed to the door. I was curious to see where they purchased their audacity & was wandering if it was only providedover the phone or if they would have that same energy in person. Horrible! So we ordered food from here before. Vandergrift doesn't have many delivery place which they delivery so that's a plus but... tonight was a huge disappointment. Half of our fries were black & all of the food was cold. 2 of the 4 of us are picky kids. Nowwe dished $50 out & $10 (prob more knowing my fiance but it's 10 or more for him) So $60 for cold burnt food. Hard pizza (1sttime trying it for a 4yr old :( ) soggy cold cheese sticks (cold burgers are not good btw). So now we won't order again & backto like 2 places in town who deliver. Sad it was so bad when it was good & hot last time. Waste of money Read more
If I could give 0 stars I would. We tried them when we first moved to the area 4 years ago, uncooked pizza. Decided to try them... again since it?s been awhile and still uncooked pizza. The dough was cold and raw in the middle. Hoagies we?re soggy and cold.Not impressed Read more
