If this review was last year, it would’ve probably been a 5 stars! State & Main has gone downhill very fast, not sure if they... changed management, or just going through rough times with all costs going up! The place used to be great, full of professionalstaff, great food, nice presentations, but not anymore unfortunately! I wish I could rate higher, but due to the slow service and consistent let downs I can only give it two stars. Waited about 45... minutes to get my food. We started off with the Artichoke dip unfortunately it was pretty cold, maybe a handful of tortillachips and a bland flavour overall… then I Got the Grilled Burger and was disappointed to see that it had a sliver of cheeseand two completely dried out burger Patty’s. Although There fries and dill dip was super tasty! Final thoughts, if youdon’t mind waiting a long time and looking for generally mediocre food this is the place. Not good but not terrible. Read more
First time dinning at this restaurant. Staff was friendly and young, service was 6/10 it was Father’s Day and yes very busy... but certain things really did bother me about my waiter. She/they placed the knife and forks directly on the dirty table with nonapkins or anything. Also didn’t check up on us to the point where I had to order thru another waiter… lol Food was verygood for the price point! Loved the flavours and speed that it came out. Shoutout the chefs . Location is great lots of parkingand close to 400(HWY) The other customers seemed mid/upper class so it’s a safe environment for kids and date night! Wouldgo back. Read more

Awful. Food was terrible. Service was worse. Me and my spouse both ordered chicken club sandwiches. Which isint a club at all.... It's a grilled chicken sandwich. My spouses had a hair in it and mine tasted literally like nothing. Had zero seasoning. Kidsdidn't eat there meals either. Tasted awful they said. Broccoli was burnt. Service wasn't much better. I thanked our server 9times. I counted. And she didn't say your welcome one time. I had heard good things but our experience was not satisfactory atall. We went on Valentine’s Day for dinner. The service was so extremely slow. Evelyn kept forgetting our requests, and needed to... be repeated multiple times. Also the steak was way over cooked and when brought to attention, the replacement steak took so longthat the remainder of our dinner was already done. Take out from State & Main verse the dine in are completely two different restaurants. The portion sizes are considerable... amount smaller then dine in and prices are the same. Food quality was another area that was lesser then dine in. I suggestdine in verse take out. The elusive travelling panda is spending some real time north of Toronto.
