The food is excellant and the service as well. They could offer gluten free bread and you felt very welcomed. I had the heirloom... tomato and then the eggplant Parmesan. I've been dying to go to Scopa for a long time. I finally made the trip and it was definitely worth it! Luckily we got in... without a reservation, and enjoyed our food outside. The food and drinks were absolutely amazing! I'll be dreaming about mypasta for a long time. Highly recommend. Read more

Last night we went to Scopa for a baby announcement dinner. And overall it was excellent! I accidentally made reservations for... two instead of four and they accommodated us no problem even though they were fully booked. I would actually give them 4.5 starsbut you can’t do half star ratings. We had appetizers of squash blossoms, stuffed mushrooms, and beefsteak tomatoes and theywere all absolutely amazing. However the tomatoes were not what I expected and more just like regular tomatoes. The pasta disheswe had were lasagna, rigatoni with vodka sauce, corn ravioli and spaghetti with clams. All of them were delicious and flavorfulhowever my rigatoni could’ve been a little bit warmer. For dessert we had the donuts, which were amazing but actually weredonut holes instead of donuts, Affogato and Napoleon. Most of our party wanted the cheesecake for dessert and they were out ofit. Apparently the cheesecake is a big sensation and so running out was kind of a bummer. Overall this is an excellentrestaurant. We sat out on the patio which is spacious and open and not on top of each other because of the surge in Covid weappreciated that. Come here for some quality Italian food...just don't come expecting to eat like you're at your nonna's house. The plates can be... small, and a bit on the pricey side but not too crazy. The crispy squash flowers were delicious, as was the clam linguini. Iwouldn't order the chocolate panna cotta again though...kinda just tasted like jello chocolate pudding with hot chocolate powderon top. Also the service was ok, but not great. The staff seemed to want to rush you out of there, but I chalk that up to beingbusy with staff shortages as a lot of places have been struggling that with lately. Read more

Modern Italian spot in Venice with dark, moody vibes. Street parking along Washington or in one of the residential... neighborhoods. Credit cards accepted. Reservations accepted. Indoor and outdoor dining available. Gendered restaurants availablein the back. There’s bar seating as well. It’s a good spot for a date night or to have a nice meal with the fam. I came hereper the recommendation of a former colleague, who called this restaurant his favorite in the West side. Definitely get thesquid ink calamari. The ink adds an extra level of saltiness, but it’s not overbearing. The meat was soft in the inside andthe batter was lightly crispy. The pastas we ordered were all on the smaller side, but the pastas’ textures were top-notch.The rigatoni was my favorite, with a red creamy sauce. The cavatelli had Italian sausage and my dad really liked it. Thelinguini with clams was garlicky and also very creamy.
