Hip Southeast Asian spot in Venice. Came here with a friend on a Tuesday around 6:30pm and got seated immediately. They do... accept reservations but they put a hold on your card. Indoor and outdoor dining available. They have single occupant restroomsavailable indoors on the left hand side. Street parking. Food-wise, we got three dishes to split between the two of us, andthat was a good amount of food. Everything is pricier than the taste and portion size would otherwise suggest. The duck lumpiacame in 3 pieces that were cut in half (I would actually pass on this). The kwee tiauw goreng was alright - it came with ascotch egg which was a fun touch. The Japanese curry was surprisingly the best dish. Note that you need to order rice inaddition to it ($4). Read more

This place is lovely! Good ambiance, delicious drinks, solid food. My only qualm is that the portions are too small and... expensive. Also, the papaya salad was not very flavorful (but it was fresh!). The highlight was the coconut rice- delicious! Andthe hibiscus coconut drink was dank af. Read more

I was quite excited to try this place. Liked the ambience and staff were quite friendly but food were overpriced and not... tasty. Ordered the duck lumpia & chicken sate which I was looking forward to and it turned out being not very tasty anddry. Also ordered pad kra pao & Japanese curry; the meat was not tender which I returned it but I got charged!!! I liked theplaces style but not the actual food and their customer service! Read more

Love the vibe and the Southeast Asian dishes they offered with some Japanese dishes included. Great flavors and some dishes... reminded me living back in SEA but with a difference in price of course! Come as a group to share and try the dishes! Their crabcurry dish was awesome! Read more

Delicious and great ambience for dinner with a friend or a first date over some cocktails at the bar. Came here with a work... colleague and we loved the experience. The food is like an Asian fusion from Japanese curry to Philippine lumpias (egg rolls). You also have to try their cocktails. They are beautifully prepared and equally delicious to drink. It’s very gin heavy butyou can swap it out for your alcohol of choice. The only thing I would say though is that they are extremely busy /understaffed. It took 30 mins to get our first cocktail and another hour to get the first food on the table. Our waiter was veryapologetic though and took the food off our bill which was extremely kind of him. Will definitely recommend this to friends andcome back soon! Read more

I’ve been to Walllflower many times and they’ve never disappointed. An Indonesian inspired menu with an ambiance that is... pleasing and well thought out; awesome decor, dim lighting with a hip and grungy playlist that is also upbeat. Plenty of outdoorseating with heat lamps. The beef ribs, and papaya salad have been our goto appetizers; the beef falling off the bones with atasty and unique BBQ sauce. What keeps us coming back is the service and whole fish for 2, they use branzino. This dish is fire!???? It is perfectly cooked, with crispy skin and tender perfectly marinated meat. The fish is toped with fermented beans and itis insanely good, complimenting the fish extremely well. We devour the fish to the bone every time. Bok Choy is served on theside. At $48 it is a bit of an indulgence but well worth it for the experience. They also have great drinks, I like the smokylemongrass, mezcal! Read more

So yummy! Favorite was definitely the duck roll, one of the yummiest dishes ever. The ribs were not my favorite, almost too... intense in flavor even though I love intense flavor. Loved the tofu dish as well. Read more

Friday 8/6/21. Fun, low key place, excellent bartender and great food. My ???? and I were looking for ethnic food. Came without... reservation shortly after 6 PM. Got a spot at the bar just before the place filled up. All three apertizers and the braised beefmain dish were excellent. Mostly a young crowd. Would definitely come again. Read more
