The Crows Nest is a beautiful restaurant, especially in the crows nest part of the building which is a smaller tiki-like room... with abundant windows and window covers if needed. The seafood is awesome! Can’t recommend the escargot enough. The salmon iscooked perfectly in an entree and served on a salad. I ordered the Arugula Salad with salmon and it was honestly so perfect;beets were not super flavorful and the vinaigrette was super light. Nothing was too special about the Grouper - do notrecommend. This was our 3rd or 4th time eating here, but our 1st time eating downstairs in the tavern...Let me preface by saying our prior... visits I would rated those 5 star for both the food & service...This time I got a bowl of seafood bisque as an app & calamari asmy entrée...The seafood bisque was good, but way overpriced & I'm embarrassed to say how much I paid for it...The calamari wasoverbreaded & quite frankly flavorless; if it wasn't for the marinara & banana peppers it wouldn't of had any flavor...My wifegot the meatloaf & said it was just okay, but she wouldn't order it again...However, our server/service was spot on... I do a lot of fine dining across the states and I consider Crows Nest to be excellent. High quality ingredients and preparation.... They are one of the top three restaurants of the area in my opinion. The Staff is always pleasant and the atmosphere is lovely,clean & contemporary. Parking can be a bit problematic, you may have to wait spell. But it’s typical of any watersiderestaurant and worth it for such a nice view. Very nice restaurant with great service. Get there before 5 pm to have the 5:30 specials on the upstairs enclosed deck. If you... like oysters they have blue point and pei oysters that are tasty. Read more
