Fluid State Beer Garden is a place where you can have fun with friends, sit at the bar alone after a hard day at work, or bring... the family for the kids to run around on the patio; you can even bring your dog too! I purchased 2 drinks here, and because of the bad attitude of the bartender I decided not to tip. But the bartender had... something else in mind, which was changing the number on the check, so that he?d get a tip regardless of his bad performance ofhis job. The problem here is that the added tip was fraud (since I did not authorize the charge on my card). I took this up withthe management and they refunded my 3 dollars but refused to acknowledge and/or correct the corrupt behavior of the person(s)they had employed. I requested that one of the beers I purchased be ?on the house? since I was fraudulently overcharged.Apparently this was too much to ask.. call it negligence, call it fraud, it makes no difference. They did not refund the 1beer. Do you really want to go to an establishment that doesn?t stand behind their prices? A place that refuses to acknowledgetheir own employee?s ?mistakes?? Local. Regular every 6 weeks on Thursday night with my exercise crew. We walk/run/bike a couple miles up to the cross to check... out the ocean views and then eat/drink the rest of the night with friends and pets. Leave a comment if ya every wanna join. Thisplace is always packed - be ready to wait in line, order beer and food at the same time at the counter, wait 45 minutes to 1hour for the food (not the beer) - the beer selection is great and plentiful. Second visit. Decor is sparse but cool. I don't love that you order from the counter and have to get in line any time you want... another drink unless you sit at the bar. We were able to get to the bar to reorder though, so it wasn't an issue this visit. Weordered 2 slices, fungus amongus and Italian massage, and naked wings. For some reason our food didn't get entered when we firstordered it. So by the time we figured it out it took an hour to get our food. We weren't thrilled. Thankfully the well stockedbar and solid beer selection (although no hazies from some reason) helped us pass the time. And when it did arrive it was trulyexcellent. Had the Dr. pepperoni last time and was unimpressed but this food was well worth waiting for and commanded 4 stars.Without the wait, it would've been 5. We'll come back and see what we can do! Recent Sunday night with a group of six on back patio for pizza and drinks. It?s a beer garden so a casual yet pleasant... atmosphere. Order at counter and grab your drinks and then you?ll be paged when the food is ready. The pizzas were PDG (meatyand salty Italian Massage and a classic Margherita). Wings and salad were also pretty good. I had a cocktail which tasted like aG&T but called a V&T and MacReeves had some kind of IPA. Would def go back for the clam pizza and a beer. I left coming here. It is a very chill and mellow vibe you run into people of all age groups, and all backgrounds. Everyone here... is great their food menu is mainly pizza, but trust me, you cannot go wrong with any which choice you make. Great variety ofbeers and cocktails. Personally I?m more of a beer drinker, but I think everyone should go try fluid state at least once. Read more
