Hate to give a small business a 1 star review but when I saw my mail today I saw Tenaya Romero is promoting no on A&B and saw... her face printed on the "No on A&B" flyers being mailed out by the big oil companies. I'm voting YES on A&B because Ventura'sclean drinking water is at stake and enforcing environmental reviews for all new oil wells won't impact our energy needs oraffect over 75% of the current wells in operation. Big Oil is spending over $8 MILLION to encourage people to vote no on A&B andspreading lies that Tenaya seems to have believed. As we've seen in the past they couldn't care less about people (or otherbusinesses) but only care about their profits. Read more
Great customer service and bbq! A must try if you?re in Ventura.
Probably the best bbq in the Ventura City. We get their brisket as soon as they open because they can sell out fast. Place... orders right when they open, expect an up to 30-40 min delay to build yours on a busy day. They lemonade is also great! Smalloperation with sometimes weird hours so always call to ensure they are open before driving over - they?ve been closed whenvisiting. Also narrow operating hours. Read more
bbq restaurant in a sleepy strip mall in northern ventura. went in thinking i was just going to take sample bites from our... order, but couldn't stop. the bbq chicken sandwich is reminiscent of the mc rib, but chicken of course! the ribs are dry rub,and taste great with or without the sauce. we'll be back! 10/10 for everyone's meals! My coworkers and I were dying to try this place, and were planning for two weeks to come here. The... wait was so worth it! We ordered a few different sandwiches and each was 10/10 (Grilled cheese sandwich, BLAT, tri tip sandwich,BBQ pork belly sandwich, 1/2 tri tip and 1/2 brisket sandwich, and two BBQ beef brisket sandwiches). The staff was so wonderful,too: I placed my order at 11am, but had to wait until an interviewee was available so I could interview them, so I ended upbeing available around 12:30pm to pick up the order. I called immediately and apologized, and advised I would be on my way. WhenI got to the restaurant, I was greeted so warmly by Tayana (spelling?) and another employee, and she even said I was the kindestcustomer she's ever spoken with :') I will definitely keep them in mind for catering our holiday parties, and I really likedthem vs. other local BBQ places. Wow! We just ordered out a dozen pork ribs. They were amazing. Incredible side of coleslaw - spicy and just the right texture. I... had a glass of wine inside while waiting - beautiful space. Looking forward to coming back for more food. Read more
