When it comes to food, I can be ridiculously picky and annoying. It's usually very hard for me to like everything I have ordered... From one visit because there is always something that I dislike! That wasn't the case when I visited lure fish house!! Wow iswhat I would call this place! Everything was soooooooooooo good! I can't describe it, you have to try it yourself. I'll bookmarkthis place as a MUST TRY IN VENTURA. It is so beautiful inside and outside, great service, plenty of food options and AMAZINGFOOD! My fiancé has been here before and decided to come again so I can try it. They don't take reservations over the phone soyou have to go there and make it. We got there, they have some waiting for outdoor but even longer wait for indoor. However bararea is open if you choose to sit there while waiting for your table. That was the plan however there was a sweet lady that wassitting at the bar whom she had reservation and was texted to be seated but already sat at the bar and had her food so she gaveus her spot. Got the house ceviche and asked forno onions so pick was on the Side However it still has onions. I tried it, it was good but I wasn't planning to pick every onionout. Then we got the clam chowder!! The best I've even had besides the one I had in Seattle. I ordered the silly sand dabs, myfirst time having it. It was sooooo good! I got it with squash and Brussel sprouts. It comes with some sauce. This is a very nice spot. Ravioli were delicious, the seafood was fresh. Great oysters, especially the ones from Fanny Bay,... cioppino was spicy but very good. The waiter was friendly and attentive. Food was brought very quickly. The atmosphere at thislocation is nice and relaxing. The furniture is comfortable. Usually one of the best restaurants in Ventura or the top choice for me and always high quality food and fresh fish. Came here... this recent evening for a birthday celebration and although other plates we ordered were super great, the seared ahi plate wasinedible and not fresh. Very chewy like bubble gum. So this meal was wasted and what I ordered. We were really happy witheverything else even though we ate at the bar because they do not take reservations. Service is friendly even though very busy. We hit the jackpot when we stumbled upon this restaurant for dinner. There was a long wait on Saturday evening, but it was worth... wandering around in nearby cute shops to pass the time. The bread, clam chowder, sea bass, and rockfish were delicious, but itwas the charbroiled oysters that stole the show. This place was recommended to me as I was in town for a short time, the place was busy and the staff where sharp and attentive... to the customers!! For me it?s important the attention to detail is observed.. as soon as my drink was done a question toreplenish was asked, the food was great to, colorful combinations of flavor added to the the enjoyment of eating here, talkingto staff it would seem the afternoon is a relaxing time to visit as after 6pm things ramp up and the dynamic changes, the besttime to visit would be around 6pm, things begin to change then and the atmosphere just keeps on building!!!!
