This is specifically a review of the gift shop / main office. Half the lights were burned out, several of the coolers weren?t... on and had hot beverages, the store was out of a good majority of stuff, flies everywhere, dog chained up outside was barkingaggressively towards all 3 dogs in the parking lot. I had a very unfortunate experience with my reservation. I booked online through the website in July 2021 for my stay in July... 2022. I booked early because we were traveling by bicycle and had to be sure of somewhere to sleep while traveling the longdistance through the park. When I arrived, they said they had been closed for a while and my reservation had been lost. I had myconfirmation email but it didn?t help. Friends of the owner had booked most of the cabins and somebody else was going to be inthe cabin I had booked. There was no hot water and no food in any case. We had no choice but to find somewhere else. With aspotty wifi connection we managed to get an expensive cabin 30 miles farther on over the mountain pass. Read more

The only place to stay on a long stretch of road with no cell service. The proprietors are friendly and don't pressure you to... buy anything. They'll even give you water for free. The restrooms are free to use as well. Nice little store with lots of giftsand souvenirs. Thanks for being so hospitable. Read more

Very poor service, pictures seems likes they are from different place. Heating doesn?t work. Floors are freezing cold in... morning. Wld have been better off camping out than living in these cabins. Will recommend staying at storm mountain lodge andpay more. That what we had to do Read more

The cabins are rustic and small, but enjoyable. There are definitely some basic maintenance issues that should be taken care of... (a piece of wood laying on top of the fridge in the kitchen with nails sticking out of it). The location is beautiful, but ~45minutes from any stores or restaurants. The restaurant was closed, and the available breakfast options that were promised werenon-existent, aside from coffee. A poweraid from the cooler cost $4.80. The generator runs basically all of the time. It was~30ft from our cabin and really ruins the ambiance. I understand if that is the power source, but it should be located somewheremuch less disruptive. Read more

Stayed here 2 nights on Aug 2021. First night at cabin 1 and second night at cabin 12. It was quite different experience. If you... like to stay rustic, old and historic, old cabins are perfect matches. Cabin 12 was newly built, so everything was nice andneat. All staffs are helpful and nice Best part of staying was BBQ at night. Little noisy of generator, but you can see theshooting stars. Read more

Please do not stay here!! We pre-booked 2 cabins based off of the photos on their website. When we got there, there was no heat... in our cabin and it was freezing. The baseboard heater was directly behind the bed, so even if it did work, it is a huge firehazard and totally unsafe. The door was damaged so much you couldn?t use the deadbolt to lock it. There were cords everywhereand the heater in the second bedroom was open. How is that safe for small children?? The bathroom was very slanted and so smallthat you got cobwebs in your hair. The cabin was literally full of cobwebs. And the shower was too small for my husband to evenstand under. We would not stay there for our family?s safety and we did not get refunded at all. They told us to contactmanagement (which we did) and they never responded. If you?re looking for a rustic experience this is not it. I can?t see howthis cabin would pass any safety inspections. Also want to add that my sisters cabin had a propane leak that made her soninstantly sick and they couldn?t stay there for their health and safety either and they did not get refunded either. We stopped here for a night and will definitely be back! The cabin was one of the renovated ones (11 and 12) and was quiet,... comfortable and beautiful location. We walked the trail and it was gorgeous. We ate at the restaurant and they accommodated myfood allergies and the food was delicious! The staff were all very friendly and new owners are doing an amazing job! We lookforward to going back! Read more
