Update: The pizza is still incredible, the staff are friendly and attentive, but now, you can actually call and place an order... with almost no hastle. Fantastic overall experience and the best pizza in town. Their pizza is incredible, and while the waittimes are a little long, it's not ridiculous to wait that long for good pizza. The reason I give them 1 star is due to the factthat every time I attempt to call and order a pizza for pick-up, I've had to call 20 plus times before I get an answer andsometimes the phone rings for a minute before an automated voice comes on saying "answering service off". Just to clarify, yes,I'm calling during business hours, and no, I'm not calling at peak hours. There's no excuse for a pizza place that doescarry-out orders to not have a smoother system for placing a carry-out order. Read more

This is, without question, the best pizza I have ever ate - it's all about the secret sauce. We used to travel to Sioux City... just for this pizza. We recently tried it in Vermillion, and it is just as good as in Sioux City. As you can see from other comments, the wait time for pretty much everyone getting there food was about 2 hours. It was for my... situation at least. With that being said, my group handled the wait time well, because the business is new to opening andadjustments may need to be made in the beginning process. We were also aware that the kitchen size may not be large enough toadapt to the filled restaurant. However, we witnessed many deliveries being sent out before receiving our food and people whohad been seated long after us were receiving their orders prior to ours. We were also told appetizers on our check would beremoved because we did not receive them until after receiving the food. I ordered the baked spaghetti and my food was cold andthe cheese was hardened on the top. The waitress asked if our food was fine and I said yes, because she was not the person toblame and she had enough on her plate. We then waited longer to receive our checks to go.When paying for the food the personchecking us out (I?m assuming the manager) was very rude and obvious about his annoyance with me ensuring my tip went to thewaitress I had. I did not appreciate how staff were treated and the food was far over priced for what you were receiving. Mygroup ended up staying for 2 and 1/2 hours just to receive cold spaghetti and some pizza. Update in Oct 2022: El Fredo's has become our favorite pizza place in South Dakota. We always over-order to take some home, and... the left-overs actually get eaten at home. I grew up in New Haven, CT, pizza capital of the world. El Fredo's is a differentstyle, but we really like it just about as much as CT. Had the toasted ravioli as an appetizer, really good. The pizza wasexcellent. Plenty of cheese, good crust, and most of all, both pizzas had a generous amount of sauce so the tomato flavordidn't get lost. Too many places just don't use enough sauce so it almost disappears. Had a sausage and mushroom,, and a plaincheese.. Very pleasant atmosphere, good server, and came out pretty quickly.
