Went to vernal for an anniversary trip, found this place with decent reviews and decided to give it a try. I got an Angus... Burger on sourdough and all I can say is it was disappointing. For starters the grade of the meat was simply terrible. It had anodd texture and was super fatty. There was also no form of seasoning or flavor to the meat so it was super bland. Adding to thatthe sourdough it came on tasted like regular toasted white bread (not a hint of sour to be mentioned). The only remotelyredeeming quality was the short wait time and the kind waitress. This was the best restaurant we visited during our entire trip to Vernal! Service was excellent! Food was amazing! We felt... welcomed right away and felt we were important during our entire visit, which is very important to us since we come from workingin the service industry before. We had an issue with cheese sticks being served a little cold, once addressed it was handledright away without any issues. We were very happy to have stopped here and happy that we had a MUCH BETTER experience here thanthe Vernal Brewing Co. We will probably never go to the other restuarant again and would much rather visit here again! We willbe telling more people about this restaurant! 5 stars without a doubt! Read more
We were in the area over a 3 day weekend, visiting both sides of the Dino National Park. We haven't seen a JB'S restaurant in... forever and when we drove passed this one we had to stop. They were quick to seat us. Our server was on it with asking for ourdrink orders and giving us time to decide what we wanted for dinner. The wife wanted the chicken fried chicken dinner, but theywere out of the chicken fried chicken. So she had the green chili omelet. She said it was good and hit the spot. I had theSalmon with rice pilaf and a salad. Bake potatoes are available after 4pm. The Salmon was well prepared, I enjoyed the meal. Themisses also had a slice of their apple pie that she said was tasty. Good service and everything was well prepared and we had anice meal before making the drive west, to home. It is a old none update restaurant in the middle of no where. But and it is a big BUT the food was incredible. We got a Meat... Lover Omelette with Country Potatoes and Double Cheeseburger. I was not expecting much because of the reason that he's in themiddle of nowhere. But everything was cooked at the moment it was fresh (and when I mean fresh it doesn't mean that it was notfrozen meat) at the flavor was really extremely good. On top of that you get the friendly amazing country customer service.Sorry if you definitely get offended by phrases like sweetie, honey babe this is not the restaurant for you because the ladiesthat help you serve your food they are really really kind people. We're just driving through and stopped by for brunch. I feel bad because the server provided excellent service but she was by... herself and had a ton of work to deal with all alone. It took a bit longer then normal to get our food but I could completelyunderstand the situation. I am thankful that she's very professional and handled the situation very well and if we ever get achance to return we definitely will. The food was hot and good, the service was excellent. Read more
Some of the food tasted ok but was not something to be really desired. The soup and salad bar wasn't being kept up with. Told... the waitress that some food was gone and she didn't replace it. The workers weren't very happy or on the ball. I wish I couldput a better comment. JB's used to be great. It just isn't the same.
