I?d come for the peaceful music and a respite from the mind numbing music most places play these days alone. Nice piano or other... classical music, including Spanish guitar a lot of the time. So peaceful and calm. The environment and atmosphere alone keepsme coming. This place has class. The gourmet food is a plus! I can think and have a conversation, feeling calm and at peace.High sense of refinement that most places lack these days. Great place to dress up for dinner. Staff dresses very professional, place has linen napkins and table cloths at every table?nice dinnerware and glasses. Fresh flowers and greenery each day. Realroses at some tables even. Has a special historical feel of Vernal that is very nice and charming. Owner himself seems to be agourmet chef and everything he cooks is phenomenal. Very kind and thoughtful down to earth owner and staff. They gave me freedessert once because my food took a few minutes longer than they thought it should of took and I hadn?t even noticed a delay?Ihadn?t complained. So very nice, I always feel very welcome. Staff listens very well to feedback and cares what peoplethink. Their Philly cheesesteak is the best in the Basin for sure. Their sauces are amazing! I love to dip the homemadeappetizer bread into the Jalapeño Aioli sauce. Outdoor dinning is amazing and magical too. Read more

I want to start by saying, this place has potential. I was weary about trying the Chefs tasting menu in Vernal. They touted... French onion soup, not edible. SO GROSS! Only one of us out of 4 ate it. Also, very confusing because they brought out allcourses at the same time so our table was just full of all these courses. They need to time the delivery of food to make it anenjoyable experience. I will also say, the Tuna They served was really good. Very pleasantly surprised. With some tweaks &different soup than that French onion slop, this place could be good. Read more

It was THE WORST dining experience in my life! The waitress was 'new' and knew not much. We were gracious about it. We got our... drinks and cold bread pretty promptly but after that, we sat there for 30 minutes waiting for her to come back to get our order. Then after she took it, 10 minutes go by and she comes back to verify it and it had several mistakes (there as 6 of us). Thenthe food was average at best, the Wasgu $42 steak was not 8 Oz nor was it exceptional. It was a thin piece of meat. The nanagercame out after the almost 2 hour ordeal, gave us all dessert and compted a meal. Never again! Read more

I'm not sure what happened to us, but it was an experience I hope none of you go through. There were only 2 customers in the... restaurant when we walked in. 2 people came in right after us. One hour later, the couple who walked in after us had theirleftovers in the boxes. We had our drinks, no food, no soup, no salads. The waitress came out 3 different times to make sureshe had the order right. She asked what kind of salad dressing we wanted, and after we asked for 2 different kinds, she told usall they have is ranch! The potatoes were very bland. The steaks were OK, but not for the price. The manager did come out andsaid he was told we had some issues. I explained everything to him, and he asked what he could to make it up. He offereddesserts, and I said it didn't make up for the wait and the issues. He then said we wouldn't have to pay for one of themeals. Good luck to you, and we will be checking to see if it was a freak issue or if things have really gone downhill. Read more

We ate at Matt Curry Steakhouse for an early Valentine?s Day dinner. This is the nicest restaurant in Vernal. We had an... excellent experience. We ordered onion soup, the burger, and the petite fillets. The peppercorn and garlic-thyme sauces werealso delicious. The atmosphere was one of our favorite parts. They play soft piano music that fits with the historic housetheme. Service was friendly and attentive. We will definitely be coming back. Read more

Extremely impressed. It?s New Year?s Eve, and we are traveling through town. Due to omicron, we are not dining in. Though they... don?t exactly offer take out, being a nice steakhouse and all, they went far above and beyond to help us out, allowing us topick up an incredible Wagyu prix fixe roast, with roasted potatoes, a fresh green salad, and crème brûlée that was PLATED totake back to our Airbnb. The restaurant itself was charming, and I hope to be able to dine in next time I?m in town. Superbstaff, high quality beef, lovely spot, highly recommend. Read more

Matt Curry Steakhouse (named after the original owner of the home) is a beautiful historical landmark turned high-end steak... restaurant. It is open weekends now and under new ownership. My wife and I loved the atmosphere and the food! Prices werereasonable, and the staff was always friendly and prompt. We had the ribeye with green peppercorn sauce and the roasted chickenbreast. Both were excellent! The roasted vegetables and potatoes were crisp and delicious as well. Portions were generous. Thechef really knows how to make the dishes next level! I highly recommend! Read more
