We were driving past this diner and stopped in because the parking lot was packed! We knew it must be good! It has an in-house... bakery and any kind of food you can imagine. We got an appetizer platter which could have been a meal by itself! The cornchowder was delicious as was my chicken crouquets and my husband had a delicious salad with open face pot roast dinner. Lindawas our server and we will always ask to sit in her area, she does a great job. Can?t wait to go back to try their French toast! Read more

The food itself was alright, I got the Fisherman's Platter and the crab stuffing wasn't my favorite, but the portions were... rather large. Although for paying around $25 for the dinner plate I would have expected it to be a bit better taste wise. I alsogot the dulce de leches smoothie and that was very delicious, so overall it's an okay place, just don't order anything tooextravagant or you might be a little disappointed. Read more
Good food and even better deserts.. I will definitely go again, this will be a regular stop for us now when we are in the... area. We went there on a Sunday- got this off google maps and I was glad we did go here. The food was excellent. Reason for 3??. The waitress was extremely busy even though there are 4-5 other wait staff standing by the computer. Not sure if she didn?twant them to help her or it was a policy thing? Waited 10 mins before she came over and took our order - then it took heranother 10 mins to get salad and soup - our main course was sitting under the hot plate for a good 20 mins. I know because thefood was warm but the plates was extremely hot - how?s that possible? I needed a refill on my water and asked the busboy to getit. She checked on us once and only because someone came in and sat behind our booth. We had to track her down for the bill. Ibelieve they need to change how they handle their wait staff, there are plenty of them standing watching no need for someone tocome in and wait 10 mins or more to take your order. Read more
Everything we got was good, service was good as well. Decent sized portions on everything. Only slight issue I had was with the... Teriyaki Trio, said it came with Shrimp but only had 2 small shrimp total. If you're gonna advertise Shrimp as part of an entreeit should definitely have more than 2. Read more
Always enjoy a great and hearty meal at the Vernon Diner with family or friends. Reasonable prices for huge entrees and great... milkshakes! The meatloaf is great, steak ends, and the parmigiana too (veal, chicken). It?s a place we always return toohappily. Plus it?s near the Dzen tree farm so perfect post Christmas tree lunch/dinner place! Read more
