Not sure I understand the negative reviews. Food was fresh and well prepared. Service was awesome - our waitress was wonderful!... 4/5 - mostly subtracted for the pricing, which I’m guessing is out of control of the staff and kitchen. Read more

So I am a member of the resort and we love it, but the outdoor restaurant was closed so we decided to eat at Kites. Absolutely a... total rip off, I never review anything ever because as a business owner I know how important reviews are. But I ordered the crabcakes and they gave me 1 single crab cake the size of a kids palm, yes small. Then I called and they said yes that’s theserving for $22. Crazy, and they said they had mentioned to the manager that the prices are to high for the serving sizes withno action taken. So…for us, last time we ever eat there. The food is fine. But, the prices..sheesh...$12 for a scoop of ice cream. That's outrageous. We know the place and only eat... maybe once a year there, we visit minerals 2-3 times a year usually. We expect the prices but that ice cream one was insane.But, the waitress was very nice and helped sing happy birthday to me. Read more
We stayed at Grand Cascades for one night and weren't looking for pretentious 5- star dining so we opted for Kites.... It definitely wasn't pretentious but it definitely was depressing. It's dark, it's dated and it's obnoxiously overpriced forbasic pub food. The bartender/waitress at the bar was very good however. Friendly, courteous and quick. I've never spent so muchmoney on pub food that was mediocre at best. Read more
Their new burger was great, a nice mix of saltiness and sweetness. Bread nice and fluffy. Fries could've been better, I guess... they were done a lot earlier than the burgers. Service was excellent, Sam made sure everything was going well. Decor felt alittle undecided in what kind of atmosphere the place wanted to be. All in all, was a good experience! Read more
It’s good. Staff is nice. But the chicken is super fatty and gelatinous. Almost like the chicken was injected as a child.... Probably won’t buy the chicken wings ever again. Burgers good. Read more
$10 tiny milk shakes that don't come in the same size each time. There's allegedly only one size, but we ordered 3 shakes, and... one came large, and the other 2 laughably small. No exploitation or refund offered. Just like everything else around here, theylean heavily on their excellent service workers to carry the whole place. The food is fine, but the prices are silly.
