First experience was bad we waited forever for food and ordered drinks that it took forever to get was out of drink before the... food came. Just left and paid for drinks. Second time the steak was very rare considering we ordered it medium. The rolls couldhave been heated they where very doughy. Just not impressed at the quality and service for the price you pay. We went there for dinner in late March, before the racing season, and the restaurant was rather empty ? just ourselves and a... couple of other parties. We went not expecting too much, but were pleasantly surprised by very good food and service. The onlyreal downside was the decor, which screamed "chain hotel" and it felt generic, unengaging and drab. After sitting down andtaking in the spirit-numbing, conference-hotel setting, we began to dread what was coming next. But to our surprise, our serverwas prompt, experienced and didn't miss a beat. The real revelation, however, was the food. Maybe our low expectations gildedthe lilly a bit, but the food clearly exceeded anything we anticipated receiving. It definitely rescued a dinner that what wasat first looking to be a disappointment. Overall, the experience was a good one and we expect to go back when the racing seasonreturns, so we can sample what things are like in full bloom. Read more
My husband and I went to the Saturday breakfast buffet. The food was adequate but there were no omelets made to order. The... coffee was very strong and the toaster burned my bread on one side. There are no signs telling patrons to use a clean plate andchildren are allowed to serve themselves without adult supervision. Service was terrible. The waitresses seemed to ignore thefar side of the dining room so we were had dirty dishes on our table until we left.Definitely will not go back. I'd rather gosomewhere that understands customer service. Read more
