I'm giving this 3 stars because the pizza is fast, cheap, and surprisingly good with a gluten free option. However, I probably... won't return to the Vernon Hills location. Just went in at 8pm (they close at 10) for a quick bite after kids activities allevening. The 2 people working made a point to complain to each other loud enough for us to hear about the "rush" of people(there were about 2 other tables with people in the entire place-it was nearly empty) and how everyone must have gotten togetherand decided to go at the same time. We ordered and paid for a fountain drink and when we asked for our cup they made it seemlike it was the end of the world. Basically they made us feel ashamed to be there and afraid to ask for anything. I hate topublicly criticize a business but in this case, what could be a great place is being ruined by employees who clearly don't wantto be there and don't want returning customers. :( Read more
I would put 4, or maybe even 5 stars if it weren't for KRISTEN. Or however you spell it. The elderly woman working at the Vernon... Hills Mod Pizza location is easily the most rude employee at any establishment I have ever encountered. She makes it acommitment to antagonize the customers who come in and cleans rigorously literally around your food and your persons 3 hoursbefore closing time. She limits the dining room incredibly early, and I remember her doing this even in the cold winter months.She makes the establishment cold and unhappy and she should be fired. I have tolerated her b.s for months now but she went toofar by telling my partner and I if we were "almost done" because she needs to mop. This was at 8pm. I came in here after having a very hectic busy and productive day with my 8 year old son ! We both were hangry?. a.k.A CAVY (... CRABBY AND HUNGY ??) my son made that word up as we both were in transce mode ! I have to say the crew was all AMAZING.?? Theywere so kind and loving and made us feel so welcomed! Christina went and extra mile and recommended me way off the Mod PizzaWAY ?? I am so GLAD I CHOSE TO WALK IN AND HAVE A QUICK SNACK HERE BEFORE ACTUAL DINNER . ???????? THANK YOU ALL CREW ! We LOVE it. You build your own pizza and salad!!! They bake your order to perfection. All ingredients are always fresh. We bring... our daughters and grandsons because everyone builds their own. And now they have cheesy garlic bread. .. Read more
I like a thin crust. Theirs is okay but not like a Bill's pizza thin crust. What I really love is I csn pile on the veggies and... their price is reasonable. When the grandkids come over they can get whatever pizza toppings they like and not break the bank. Read more
