This has become one of my favorite spots for pizza and good drinks. Good wine and beer selection. Tried their white sangria and... can honestly say it is one of the best sangria I have had. I always get their artichoke dip and it is to die for. Finally hadone of their salads and again, no disappointments. TRY THIS SPOT NOW!!! Read more

We were in the area to run some errands and were hungry looking for a quick bite. We both had Greek salads which were the best... we’ve had that we didn’t make ourselves. Ever. We also had the #6 which was roasted red pepper, eggplant and goat cheese.Everything was seriously delicious. The pizza crust was crispy and slightly sweet, the sauce was perfect and the toppingsdelicious. We’ll be back. Read more

Best pizza I’ve had in the area, in my opinion! Been here way too many times at this point. Loved the stuffed mushrooms and... the artichoke dip as well! Read more

This place is huge but was packed on a Friday night so make reservations. Good customer service and the pizza is delicious.... Ricotta is spot on. The goat cheese app was only ok but would definitely go back for the pizza. Read more

If you are in the Vernon Hills area and want coal-fired pizza, you won't be disappointed with Slyce (note that it is spelled... with a "y") .. we were there for lunch on Sunday and the experience was very good from the wide open dining area to our terrificserver named Josephine to the very tasty food .. we ordered an Italian Table Salad as a starter and the half portion was plentyfor 3 of us to share (Josephine informed us that the full portion is large enough for 4-5 people and suggested the half portioneven though it is not on the menu .. my wife and I shared a #15 pizza with tomato sauce instead of cream sauce with mushroomsadded and our daughter had the #4 pizza and both were excellent .. an alternative to Giodarno's if you want a traditional pizzapie instead of Chicago-style .. will definitely be back when we are in the area Read more

Pizza was good, however, I have had better coal fired pizza when I lived in Minnesota from places like black sheep. The price... was a bit high for the size of the pizza. I give them kudos for making it just the right size to finish without left overs ifhungry. I had the #3 on the tomato side as they split the pizzas into two categories red sauce and non red sauce options. Somesuggestions I have for them is to lower the price, make the pizzas have names instead of numbers, and clean your menus or dopaper/QR code. I took a picture of my menu and if you focus on the bottom half you can see black marks. It was sticky as thoughrun over on the floor. The reason I give them a 4 is for having friendly staff, a big space, quick service pizza took no timeto cook, and though I've had better coal fired pizza I've also had far worse in my life. Read more
