The patio is beautiful, the food was good, but the service was SLOW. We got seated fast once the hostess put 2 tables together... for 5, 3 adults and 2 kids. We sat for over 5 minutes and no one came to our tables, we flagged down a wait staff, but he wasnot a waiter apparently, he promised to find our waiter, it took longer than 8 minutes before our waiter made his appearance.Tried to convince a thirsty toddler that water was coming while she saw wait staff walking around was frustrating and norhelping. I’ve gone to the Verona Inn at least once a month for the last several years (aside from deep in the pandemic). It’s in my... top three places to frequent. Great tap list, solid food, excellent service. Normally five stars. Tonight I was disappointedfor the first time ever when I was served portions that were noticeably less than normal. First, I was poured a beer in a goblet(smaller than a pint, which is unusual for this place). It was only half full though. Maybe 6-8 oz. When I asked why the glasswasn’t filled, I was told the management instructed the staff to do this because it was higher alcohol content. It was only 1%more than a similar beer that I’ve ordered before that always comes in a full pint for the same price. The logic didn’t makesense, so when I asked about it and the staff went out of their way to pour a proper pint. I suggested posting volume of pourson the menu in cases like this, all was fine. Then came my meal. I’m one of those creatures of habit that orders the samewrap almost every time. It’s not a big meal as it is and was significantly smaller than usual to the point that I was stillhungry after I ate. I get that inflation is a major challenge for restaurants, and I want to see this one continue to thrive.Writing this review as constructive feedback to the management - changes like this should be communicated to patrons. Or I’dbe happy to pay a little more rather than feel shortchanged on the items I order. Hope things improve the next time. Read more
the "Hola Burger" is a must try!! 10/10 the bacon wrapped jalapeños are just one of a kind, great service overall! from... bartenders to serves! deff recommend this place for a night out. they also have a live band every friday!! deff will be back. Read more
Good food, but, very noisy for inside dining. Our table was sticky before and after requesting a wipedown. Service was pretty... slow, kitchen must have been busy, and my grandkids got a bit impatient. Appetizer of fried pickles, good, as were fries & tatertots that came with kids Mac & Cheese. Yesterday's leftovers. Coated and fried at tomorrow's prices! When you charge $14 for a fried chicken sandwich with no sides,... please have the common courtesy not to take an old leftover piece of grilled chicken, coat it in flour and fry it. Here youhave the pictures. Grill lines on a dry piece of chicken, stuffed in a fried shell and sent out the door to a curbside customeras country fried chicken. And yes, aside from grill lines, it had the tase and texture of grilled chicken. Their food wasalways overpriced but decent, but now I can't go back. I get that people are cutting corners to survive today's inflation, butthere are enough options in this area, not to reward shady business practices.
