Great place if you?re a person who eats food- especially recommend the chai, biscuits, and quiche. Even better if you?re a... person who eats food AND enjoys fiber arts. Yarn store portion is well stocked and has very helpful staff. The real magicthough, is the community within the space. I?ve left many a time with a full stomach and heart. Striking up conversations withfellow patrons about sweaters worn in, knitting projects being worked on, or my kiddo in tow really warms the heart. Read more

Love to sit and work on a project, sip a velvet purse, and spy on what other makers have on their needles/hooks. Nice selection... of yarn with varying price points. This is a special place and I hope they continue to thrive as they add so much to thecommunity! Read more

It\'s easy to see that pretty much everything about the Sow\'s Ear has been carefully curated to be an affordable but... high-quality local experience - from the local landscape artwork on the walls by a local artist, to the locally or regionallydyed and spun skeins of yarn for sale, to the dishes and beverages that cleverly reference Wisconsin locales. And let\'s notignore the most important part! My beverage of choice was the Silk Purse (bonus points to those who catch the biblical referenceto the cafe title), which was delightful and turned around reasonably quickly. The oatmeal and toast I had was also great. Thecafe calls out that turnaround time on food may be higher, and it was, but it ultimately didn\'t detract from the experience. Read more

We were passing through, and decided to stop to get some coffees to go. It was National yarn day, and it was awesome to see all... of the people outside behind the shop creating these amazing pieces with yarn. Some crocheting, some knitting. When goinginside, the place wasn\'t busy at all. We got our drinks within minutes, and we\'re on our way. The employee behind the counterwas very nice. Ended up getting a white chocolate mocha- iced, and it was so good. Would go back again if we are traveling inthe area. It was neat to see that part of the place was a coffee house, the other part was a yarn store. They also had a varietyof food options as well, but didn\'t stay long to check that out. Read more

This spot is fantastic. I didn\'t really want coffee but turning down their brew is quite difficult! I got a Turkish latte which... was simply breathtakingly good.\nThis little spot is perfect for a quick grab of some great food. Their soup today was a greenchili corn chowder. It smelled so amazing I forgot to take a pic of it. Their Madison melt is a crispy yet not tooth breakingcrusty sandwich with the right amount of cheese. I flipped out the mustard for bacon jam and it killed. I\'m not into knitting, but if that\'s your thing then eating and knitting is available here! Definitely try their teas too as those are a lighter hitvs the coffee but still fantastic. I relish eating here and I\'m so glad they\'ve survived the pandemic! Read more

This is a very cute coffee and yarn shop. They sell a variety of baked goods (including adorable cookies) and hot and cold... drinks. They also offer artisinal soaps, and knitted items like hats and tiny llama finger puppets.\n\nThe staff are always veryfriendly and the service is quick. The food/drinks are good and the seating area is clean and tidy.\n\nI really like the Sow\'sear and I will be back! Read more

Just a sweet, well-run coffee shop, one of the highlights whenever I visit family here. Their espresso is robust and flavorful.... One of the only shops I\'ve encountered outside the Coffee Chain Which Must Not Be Named that does a Flat White, my currentfavorite, and they do it well. Sadly, their chai latte is weak and overly sweetened, but no place is perfect, amirite? Read more
