Service personnel were pleasant and helpful but the kitchen/food delivery fell significantly short. To go order was originally... missing 2 items but host retrieved missing items as possible (out of pie though sadly). Food items, once opened in the car, werequite disappointing. Their ?Stuffed Cheesecake Pancake Breakfast? was just two folded over pancakes with icing glaze spread inbetween them. It had been a while since I stopped at a Cracker barrel. Since it is Wednesday I was thinking chicken pot pie. Right? Slowest service I have ever experienced at a Cracker Barrel. We got seated almost immediately, the restaurant not very busy at... all. We ordered blueberry pancakes and chicken dumplings. It was a madhouse during our Saturday lunchtime visit. We only waited for about 10 minutes, but enjoyed browsing the shop in the... cool air on a nearly 100 degree day. Did we love the food? The pancakes were excellent and the eggs and bacon were cookedperfectly for my daughter's breakfast. Her meal was by far better than mine or my friend's. I had chicken tenders and he had thepork chop meal. We both agreed that neither tasted fresh, and made us think of high school cafeteria previously frozen meat.Same with the fries. My wife and I stopped here to eat on the way home. The food was great and the service was great. I had the grilled maple and... bacon chicken. It was delicious.
