Bao is an incredible place. Their texture and flavor is so unique, with that amazing soft Bao which pairs perfectly with the... fillings options available. Other food options are great, but you just can't leave there without having at least one Bao, yougonna fall in love with it. Service is very friendly and cheerful. It is not a large space so prepare for a bit of waiting atcertain times as seating is limited. Read more

They have a very veg-friendly menu. I tried the mushroom bao, black bean bao, and the veg version of the tan tan soup noodles.... The bao bread is fresh and pillowy, really well yummy as well as the toppings themselves with each ingredient prepared toperfection. The tan tan had just enough heat was hardy with a generous amount of baked tofu and a delicious seasoned egg. Read more

I have to say, I really don't get the hype! It was a super long wait for two people both days we went, and we ended up going for... an early dinner right at 5pm in order to get seated. I got the bibimbap and my husband got the ramen, and together, we sampledthe bao. The food was tasty enough, but: nothing was authentic, the bao was over sauced / overly salty / + soggy, and thebibimbap was not nearly as flavorful as it should be. Service was okay but not great, as it seemed they were understaffed. Read more

My sister and niece couldn?t stop raving about this place so when a buddy from out of town asked if I wanted to meet for lunch I... suggested we try it out. We were very impressed! Decided to try 4 different Bao and split them, along with an order of KoreanFried Chicken Bibimbap. We also ordered a couple of Vietnamese Iced Coffees. Everything was delicious! The quality of theingredients is amazingly fresh and the flavor profiles of each of the different Bao were all delicious and different. We had theTaiwanese. Classic, Chinese BBQ, Pork Meatball Bahn Mi, and the Tonkatsu Chicken Bao. Every one of them was incredibly tasty andthe Bao buns were soft and fluffy and so fresh. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and would highly recommend trying them out. Read more

Great hidden gem. The decor is so cool. The staff are friendly and service is great. The food is delicious and authentic , it is... a mix of Asian from East and SouthEast Asia region. The Viet coffee is very authentic; I thought the noodle portion could be alittle bigger for someone with a large appetite like myself. Read more

Stopped by here for a quick snack - they got a good deal 4 BAO for $16. We tried the fried chicken, pork shoulder, black bean... croquette and deep fried Nutella banana. All of the baos were fantastic - fried chicken one was prob my favourite. But overallthe best thing was the BAO bun itself.... Soft, warm with just enough elasticity... Delicious! Read more

Presentation looked good with a trendy atmosphere but we ordered take out as it?s easier with kids as we stayed a block away. We... found the soup base with the tan tan men and port belly ramen a bit too salty and not the flavour we were looking for. The bunswere good but a bit small and on the pricy side at $4/each. We liked the chicken in the bitmap but the pork was all soggy fromcurry sauce. Not sure if this the same Bao in Vancover which we?ve never been to but just had higher expectations as were a bitdisappointed. Read more
