Fish was fresh but batter is not good. I have found this to be the same anywhere I?ve had fish and chiPs in Canada. Don?t know... how to cook it all the way so it is not doughy. Seafood chowder was very good though. Read more

This place came highly recommended by our tour bus driver so we gave it a shot. It did not disappoint! Great service and great... food! We of course got the fish & chips. 10-out-of-10 on the fish! Mention was not made of the seafood chowder, but it shouldhave been because that stuff was delicious! We will find this place again the next time we visit Victoria. Read more

Barb?s fish and chips definitely lived up to its reputation and was a delicious lunch for the whole family. The fish was tender,... battered to perfection, the fries & toast were superb. We tried the seafood chowder and that was very good too. Strolled aroundFisherman?s wharf after we had lunch. Totally recommend Barb?s if you?re in Victoria! Read more

A good fish and chips place that serves burgers as well. Plenty of sides and appetizer options and a nice setting to enjoy them... in. Plenty of outdoor seating at picnic tables, only some are under cover so bring your sunscreen, coat, or umbrella dependingon the weather. As a bonus you can grab the pickle boats feet from here to explore the rest of the harbour. Read more

Got the fish and chips and breaded shrimps. They were good... not the best (I've had way better). Shrimp could have been more... flavorful. Service was pretty fast though there was a line up. Very touristy area. Read more

The first fish and chips I ever had. I would go here with my grandparents and uncle when they were still alive. It is clear I am... pretty biased, but to me this is the original and quintessential Fish and Chips experience. You have to eat it on the dock forfull effect! A lot of fish and chips places have soggy or weird fries. Not here, they are amazing. And the fish is so creamy andtender and the batter has a unique and delicious almost butter flavour! A tear comes to my eye every time I eat here. It isalways a delight and emotional culinary experience! The pictures don?t do it justice and I couldn?t wait to eat it! You must gohere for fish and chips when in Victoria! Read more

Got the 2 piece halibut and found the breading too much. The fish was fresh and the fries were amazing. Coleslaw was alright.... It's a personal opinion and taste to have the fish breading layer not thick. A little pricey from normal places but it isexpected due to its prime location. Read more

We came to Barb?s Fish & Chips late last summer during our visit to Victoria and we really liked it. Their fried seafood was... very tasty, fresh and light. We tried the Fish & Chips (Cod and Halibut), Breaded Shrimps and Clam Strips. The portions werereasonable and satisfying. They did not sell alcohol but, we could easily grab beers from another vendor around and enjoy ourdinner on the wharf. Read more
