Very rude service. We stopped in for a few drinks and appetizers. The whole time we were treated like an inconvenience. To... start, after being seated no menus were dropped and the servers would just stare when walking by. After waiting a while andgetting menus myself we were ready to order. Same thing as the menus, stared at but not helped. Finally after stopping aserver to ask if we could place an order she stopped and took it down. After drinks were delivered we asked a few questionsabout the appetizers, just to receive smart alec responses. I understand when things are busy but there were 4 servers, 2 bartenders, and a host for roughly 8 active tables inside including our own. This review would be a novel if I wrote all thedetails but to save you time and summarize, very rude service that makes visitors feel unwanted. Read more
Stopped by on a whim while craving some dessert late night and were pleasantly surprised. Yummy cocktails and scrumptious... dessert! Wish we came there for food since wherever we ate dinner beforehand sucked and their food looked yummy. The vibe wasvery cool too and the staff are friendly and accommodating. Read more
I vowed I would never eat Mexican outside of the southwest. I'm from Arizona, and I am a regular at all my local latin eateries.... I got overruled on this one, but I was pleasantly surprised. Cafe Mexico combines traditional cuisine with unique localflavors, beautiful presentation, and large portions. We had the poutine mexicano. So delicious. Very satisfactory experience here. Had delicious Mexican food, the atmosphere and environment is very pleasing and homely. The... customer service is top notch. I got the Tacos Mexicanos for myself and it tasted amazing with the habanero house made hot saucethat was given. Very positive experience and i can?t wait to eat here again. Very impressive Mexican restaurant. Delicious cocktails, margaritas of course, and very tasty food. Thankfully the chef... allowed me to try three tacos; beef, chicken and pork. All very tasty though an extra tortilla would have great to finish offthe decent portions. Churros were fresh and cooked perfectly. Highly recommend for an authentic Mexican meal in Victoria. Food is good. Some great flavors in burrito and tacos both. We found this to be a really good Mexican food. Problems: 1) during... the takeout the service lady did not allow happy hour price on the tacos. 2) we still went in the next day because of the foodtaste. We were seated at the table 8-10 mins before the end of happy hour. The service lady kept on servicing the table next tous and the table behind us ( even though they were seated after us). We heard her give them the happy hour price on tacos. Butwhen she came to us at 6, we were denied the happy hour. We did tell her how she gave it to the other tables but not to us, butshe refused. We still ordered tacos- paying 4 times the happy hour price. And no free chips and salsa for the kids burrito. Istill tipped 20% - because kids do make a mess on the table, and the tacos were really flavorful. Overall- service should beimproved. Someone beside me paid 1/4 the price of the same tacos that I paid full price for. Honor the time for happy hour whenthe customer sits on the table.
