Great community-minded (and licensed!) cafe with their own roastery! This neighbourhood hub has an interesting and sophisticated... menu without feeling pretentious or uninviting. Have always had great experiences with the staff and owners. Their drinks are delicious, their food is tasty, the ambiance is... relaxing, the service is fast and friendly, and the value is excellent. What more could you really ask? Cafe Fantastico has been a pillar in our incredible coffee scene here in Victoria for as long as I can remember. I have lived in Victoria for a long time, and I love coffee so I check out all the places. I should also mention that I'm a... professional artist and my work is shown at this Cafe, so I might seemed biased, but the reason I show my work there is BECAUSEthey are an amazing business with an amazing culture of people, so I proudly display my art on their walls. Furthermore, thestaff are friendly and very much loved by the customers, the Company is so supportive of the community in many, many ways (art,poetry, music, fundraising and more), and each individual cafe location fosters a place for connection in that neighbourhood. Ontop of all of that - they have AMAZING coffee and delicious food. They are super nerdy about how they roast and prepare coffeeand they have wonderful seasonal menus that are always adored by the many foodies in our city. After seeing some negative reviews felt I had to comment. Have been going to this shop for 20+ years due to its in house... roasting of beans and fantastic coffee. This is a great company, always adapting and very community focused. Staff is veryknowledgeable and helpful. Don't get there as much as I would always like but will make a point of stopping by this week! Read more
A mostly good experience except they were sold out of a number of things. We found something we wanted only to be told it was... also out and they were not sure how to do refunds. They eventually got it and our beverages were all good. Baked goods nexttime. I just added this and changed my rating from 4 stars. The server accosted a very elderly man with mobility issues. He wasseated at a table and had a mask on but lifted it so that she could hear him. His breathing was laboured. She kept telling himto put his mask on. They have been providing our workplace with weekly bean deliveries for many years and they are always sohelpful, knowledgeable, and organized, not to mention the delish coffee!
