I went to fireside grill for an early dinner at 4:00 p.m. It was Thanksgiving dinner and when I phoned they weren't able to take... a reservation they were all booked up. Upon arriving we were seated immediately. Such great service for not having areservation. Very very delicious appetizer it was a prawn dynamite roll's, it was absolutely delicious and I could not wait forthe Thanksgiving dinner. The presentation of the meal was exhilarating and very decorative, the food was amazing with lots ofgreat flavor. There was only one item missing to pair with this meal, there was no dinner roll or even a Yorkshirepudding. Definitely something if I was the chef that I would have had included in the meal. Ended up having dessert which waspumpkin pie and was enjoyable. I will go back to Fireside grill. Read more
I reserved the Minstrel?s Gallery for my daughter?s baby shower. The room was delightful including private washrooms. It was... beautifully appointed. The party platters and aperitifs were of consistently high quality. The owner Tim was gracious and veryhelpful when the event date was changed due to COVID. Our server Joe was attentive, ensuring everyone was happy and did not lackfor anything. Michelin might well consider giving a sixth star for this delightful spot. Read more
We live in the neighbourhood and are really lucky to have this restaurant close by. The food never disappoints and the service... is always excellent. We were just there on a date night, my husband had the NY steak, I had the gnocchi and both were great. They have an excellent selection of wines, beers and cocktails to enjoy either on one of their patios or inn their beautifuldining room. One of my favourite things they do is in the fall they often have a 3 course set menu that is great value and anopportunity to get adventurous. I highly recommend! Read more
I?ve enjoyed brunch at the Fireside Grill a dozen times and it never disappoints. We celebrated Father?s Day with dinner there... for the first time and it was spectacular. Our server was exceptional, excellent knowledge and wine pairings, patient with ourlittle kids and acknowledged them, allowed them to order themselves (place was busy) food was delicious, hot and timely. Took my guy here tonight for his birthday dinner and surprised him by having some of the fam there. The food was great, albeit... we did have to flag our server down twice I believe, but with the size of tables she was looking after as well as ours (we were7 and she easily had two other tables around 6 people each and a table of what looked like 12, plus other tables of 5 or less)she was AMAZING. The service industry as we all know are short staffed and this restaurants staff were nothing short ofspectacular. Our server was prompt, polite, was so flexible with our requests and was unbelievably courteous and personable. Therestaurant had a beautiful atmosphere, we were seated upstairs, it wasn't loud, we could carry a conversation without feeling wewere yelling between all of us. We started with the calamari, it was superb! Would absolutely order it again. The mother in lawhad the poke bowl, has some spice to it she said but she loved it (pic), my guys brother had the Rib Eye (pic), my guy had thescallops and pork belly (pic) and I had the Smashburger, oh and I smashed it. It's a messy endeavor, but very good. I couldn'tget through my fries! Portions are a decent size for the price you pay, you may not think at first glance some of these disheswould fill you up, but the quality of these ingredients will make you wish you'd worn stretchy pants. Pffft! Jeans. That was arookie mistake. We are stuffed! If you're looking for a nice dinner at a decent price, you need to come here. Would make anexcellent date night. Read more
Loved their lights, and decoration outside of the building. It was very romantic. I had ribeye steak with garlic prawns.... Everything on my plate was super yummy. I liked that the ribeye had some fat too. Downside was I ordered medium rare but it cameout almost like medium well done. Also the server lady doesn't really know about the wine they have on their menu, when I askedwhich red wine is sweet and less dry. Eventually I chose fireside house red and I enjoyed it. I have always had a fantastic time at the Fireside Grill. The staff are absolutely wonderful to deal with and are very patient.... The Margherita pizza is the perfect size where you can eat it all and not even feel bad about it. I highly recommend getting the?Fireside Shaft? if you?re looking for a drink, it is absolutely delicious and you?ll surely love it if you?re a coffee orcereal lover. Read more
