Just ordered from this establishment. Couldn't be more disappointed. Firstly, the screwed up the entire order. Secondly, these... are the worst tacos I've ever eaten. The chicken had ZERO seasoning on it. Was nothing more than bone dry chicken wrapped in asoft shell. Could barely swallow the first bit... Absolutely substandard on every level. Really love this restaurant! I?ve had the smothered burritos and they are unreal. They also have a cute happy hour with palomas... which were incredible. All the meats we?ve tried have been incredible. I can?t remember the name of one but it was like a pulledbeef and it was next level. Highly recommend this spot! Read more
Edit: this is one of the best things you can order on skip the dishes! Nicely done. Pork carnitas enchiladas with black beans... and rice. Couldn't eat it all! Will be back to try more of the menu! Enchiladas were awesome! Hibiscus margaritas! It was hardto choose what to eat because couldn't see the Blackboard from where we sat and the server didn't know the fresh sheet. Itsawkward. Just had the most amazing experience dining at Mesa. The margaritas were excellent, the food was amazing! Super easy to make... reservations online. Also they had a huge rotating specials board and we got to try a roasted cumin cauliflower for an appy thisevening. Our server was so friendly and service was so quick. I went home with a very full belly and can't wait to go back!Awesome vegetarian options too! Read more
The salsa was good! I prefer chunky guacamole over more smooth one, the flavour has strong pepper taste in it which I didn?t... like it that much. The enchiladas were ok good not too much flavour. Kinda disappointed at the pork stew cuz the meat is somesort of preserved smoked meat which is too salty for me. The flavour of the stew is good tho! Read more
The food at Mesa Familiar was good. We had the Pollo Mole` which was very good served with rice and beans and the sausage tacos.... Our server was fine but seemed to be very bored with his job. We tried to engage him in conversation a few times (since wewere the only customers there) but he didn't seem interested and he would rather be looking at his tablet behind the counter. The cook came by twice but he didn't even ask how our food was! Another couple came in while we were there, looked at the menuand left, without the server even talking to them. We had great hopes this little Mexican food restaurant would be good. Food served warm, not hot, rice was old and had lots of... hard gains in it. My partner pointed out it was a good thing that he didn't have shell fish allergies as our orders were mixedup. Service was efficient but unfriendly. Will not be back. Read more
