Some of the worst "Chinese food", I've ever had in my entire life! Soggy, disgustingly greasy breaded almond chicken, blech! The... house fried rice just sucked and was extremely lacking in ingredients. The chicken chow mein was the worst of all, absolutelyhorrible, very greasy, tasteless gloop. The chicken in all the dishes was sliced so thin it was transparent. DO NOT ORDER FROMTHIS DUMP! Also, the über driver was lazy & rude, and the food was Luke warm. Total waste of money and also very difficult todigest. Read more

Unfortunately, the bad reviews are accurate. We needed a quick place to eat with the family and decided to try the buffet. Big... mistake. We were there before six and there was literally no food in the buffet. The kitchen was busy making meals for theirtakeout customers, but completely ignoring the paid dining customers. There was one fish dish, some rice, and some noodles, anda whole lot of empty serving dishes. No wonton soup, no eggrolls, no shrimp, no beef, no chicken, you get the picture… Oursuper overworked server felt bad and was able to negotiate 10% off, but I think that in a time where labour is in shortage, weshould let bad businesses die. I never expect much from a Chinese buffet, but at least I expect that there will be food. Reallydon’t go here. Read more

I have been going here for years, the buffet is always very good for a fair price with a large variety of foods :).

Terrible establishment.... What we ordered was much less than desired. I called to question the quality of the dishes we ordered... and I was scalded by the person who told me that the dishes were served as they made. The #3 Deep fried wonton is simply awonton wrap ... deep fried. The breaded Almond chicken #35 is a gross proportion if deep fried batter with a tiny chicken bitwithin. When we called to express our distain, the person on the phone was very argumentative and offered me an $8 credittowards my next purchase. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT Read more

Terrible Food! Terrible Customer Service. I have ordered from this restaurant before and has been ok. This last time however the... food was awful. Chicken Chow Mein had just 6 small pieces of chicken and very flavourless noodles. Chop Suey was around 98%large chopped cabbage. Dry garlic pork came in a metal container with about 12 pieces of soggy breaded pork completely coveredin cooked onions???Spring Rolls were literally dripping grease. Even the bag they came in was wet with grease. Sweet and Sourpork was overwhelmed with vinegar. Almond Chicken had a speck of almond dust. No almonds. No sauce. Ginger beef, egg foo yungand fried rice were the best of everything. We also received one fortune cookie for 6 people. I called the restaurant twice. They apologized and told me the store owner/ manager would call me back. Never happened. I would have loved the opportunity todiscuss this in person. I am sorry to say that I spent over $121.00 on this dinner. Just a warning for all. Don't waste yourmoney here. Eat somewhere else. I know I will not order from here again. Nor will my guests that I had over for this dinner.Hope this helps others. Read more

One of those interesting “hole-in-the-wall” type of places. Blink and you’ll miss it when driving by, but once you’re in... the mall parkade - access is super easy with great covered parking options. Service was very friendly, although a bit on theslower side. My table was happy to chat and hang out though, as the servers were good about stocking us up on drinks andeverything else, in between them bringing out our dishes and also handling all the delivery orders that steadily came in. I’mmostly writing this review because of their pork and prawns though. The pork was SO tender, came in big, meaty chunks, with ayummy sauce that wasn’t goopy or syrupy. It’s been a loooong time since I’ve ordered sweet and sour pork, and then NOTseen any pieces that were just empty breading doused in gelatinous sauce. The quality was really surprising for both theportions and the prices. The prawns were also huge, so fresh, and very flavourful. Perfectly cooked, and hefty portions ofthese were also served. Same with the vegetables. All fresh, colourful, flavourful and not under/over cooked. The value isdefinitely solid on their combos as well as the entrée dishes. Was really nice to not feel skimped out on, and be satisfiedwith every dish we tried. All-in-all, we spent about $20-25 a person, went home totally stuffed, and each had takeout boxes forleftovers too! Thanks for a great girls night out, Purple Garden! Read more

There was hardly any food out when we arrived at 5 and most of what was there was cold. I was very sick that night and will not... go back especially with it being nearly $50 for 2 people. If the food had been good and hot $50 is not a problem Read more

Do bother going here. We have been here many times in the past years and had the buffet. First time in 2 years. Bad choice. The... website says 16.95 for Friday Saturday Sunday buffet. It’s 22. 95 and not available Sunday. Many items, at least 6-7, were 90%empty. We were bringing out more. But them it was only chow Mein or rice that came. Twice they said the shrimp is coming. Finally we were finished and had some dessert as we were told no more shrimp! If you go- go early or the food is at least halfempty. When we left most customers were already gone. With almost no one there they brought out some shrimp though the rest ofthe buffet was scraps only. Find some other place to dine. Hi Tong on Douglas by the red lion hotel is great though no buffetbut cheaper and huge combo plates. Read more
