One of the best happy hour spots in Victoria. Make reservations for the veranda seating facing the bay. We went 2 times in a... week for some happy hour bites. Their menu is heavily focused on fresh seafood. The steamed muscles were delicious, and enoughfood to keep is full for dinner as well. In the summer during tourist season, this place can get packed. Great views from the balcony seating area. Good service. Food was good enough. Not really a memorable gourmet lunch, but nicely... presented and tasty enough. The standard of the balcony area was perhaps slightly leaning towards café rather than restaurantstandards. Read more
This review is just for a quickie happy hour. Initially the service was slow, we sat down inside while most, if not everyone... else, are outside on the patio. It took more than 10min and me flagging down the manager to get a server to tend to my table.Once that is set, the service is fine. All we had was a drink, a Caesar and a dozen of raw oysters ($5cdn for 3, $20cdn for adozen). The oysters are edible, fresh and clean; and they were local oysters; not some of the best ones I had, but acceptable atthis price. Read more
Amazing view for seating, the sea food was to die for, probably the best salmon I have ever had, I would definitely come back or... eat here all the time if I lived here! I will definitely come back next visit! Read more
There was a wait so we asked to sit at the bar. It took about 10 min before the bartender gave us a menu/greeted us. The drinks... and food were super fantastic but the service was EXTREMELY slow at every step of the process. There were lots of hosts hopingaround clearing tables and such but we went almost half an hour without anyone checking on us and waiting for the cheque. The Steamship was fantastic. We made a reservation for 6 but forgot to ask for outdoor seating. They were more than... accommodating for my family and set us up outside without an issue or wait. The food was absolutely delicious and the servicewas great. We had crème brûlée and donuts for dessert, both were perfectly portioned and super yummy. The view was alsoincredible, highly recommend! I went to eat today with my son, they have taken a long time to bring us the food to the table, but I definitely recommend this... place. everything was incredibly perfect. Food and dessert. The attention of the staff was spectacular. We will return tothis place. If you sit on the terrace, you will have blankets on the chairs to cover yourself, you also have several heatscreens that are on. Read more
Great location, good ambiance, right on the wharf. The staff was good. We went in mid September & the weather was great. The... fish was HUGE with the fish & chips. The calamari appetizer was excellent. My plate, the crab cake burger, was ok. Would weeat there again? Maybe, but I'd like to try other places. Is it worth a try? Yes Read more
