Ordered the fish taco, it was so good. I was full half way through, but couldn't put it down. My son, a very picky eater, got... the crispy chicken taco and loved it. This is my first time visiting Victoria and I was recommended to check out Tacofino. I was extremely disappointed and left... extremely unhappy. I paid $31.50 and felt like it was all a waste. I will never be going here again. I ordered 2 Fish Tacos & 2Crispy Chicken Tacos at 9:37pm. I waited outside for around 35 minutes for my order to be ready. When I got to the car andlooked at the tacos, I tried biting into the chicken tacos and the crispy chicken was literally rock hard batter. I startedpulling the chicken pieces apart and it was all crispy batter, chicken skin, and no meat!!!! This is not high quality meat beingused. Is this place run by anyone? Thank you to the manager Kelsey Van Nes and the whole team at Tacofino for perfect delivery of our order and accommodating a... food allergy! These tacos really packed great flavour and the nachos had a great cook! Vegetarians will LOVE the yam tacos. Icould eat those all day! Portion sizes were generous and the tacos came loaded just how I love them. We will return again! Read more
Went to Tacofino - WOW!! This place has the best tacos I've ever had in my life! I got the Fish, Tuna and Chicken tacos and I... was not disappointed. Taste, portion and presentation beats anything else in Victoria!! They have Dino Sour stone fruit on tapand I gotta say it really complimented that to-die-for meal. I only gave 2 stars as the kitchen REALLY could use a clean. Iunderstand it's super busy all the time but that kitchen needs an entire scrub down, then a plan to keep it clean. The staffwere awesome! The service was great, the hostess and other workers were very nice. Great atmosphere and all around amazingplace. The praise for Tacofino menu needs no specific affirmations from my end. They are hands down amazing. The restaurant is clean... and well decorated. WAITING TIME can be crazy even for takeouts ( expect 1 hour wait time over weekends). TIP: They takeorders over the phone so you should order over the phone before you go in person to pick your order to avoid waitinglonger. But avoid weekend evenings to eat here as sometimes the staff doesn't pick the call as they are already overbooked forin house and take out orders.l understand its not a good customer service practice but nevertheless it's what l experiencedmyself and decided to share with you folks???? Holy smokes these were delicious tacos! I got the tuna taco and the yam taco. The server recommended getting two and said it's... the perfect amount, she was right! They were bigger than I expected as well! The flavors of each taco were so different andamazing in their own way. The restaurant is small and filled up very quickly for lunchtime and it was on a Tuesday, I canimagine a wait here on the weekends. Food was quick and so fresh! We planned part of our Victoria trip around this restaurant from excellent reviews and recommendations and it was so worth it.... We ended up ordering way more food than the 2 of us could enjoy in an attempt to try various options. Absolutely left stuff in afood coma of bliss. The crispy chicken burrito, yam burrito, yam taco and fish tacos were just divine. The hard cider toaccompany the meal was a perfect combo. Will definitely be back for more. Not a lot of free parking nearby so bare in mind topay for your spot or expect an unpleasant surprise when you are back. Nothing abnormal for a downtown establishment. Read more
AMAZING. I?ve had Tacofino in Vancouver, but this was even better! The tacos are great (especially the yam taco), and the crispy... chicken burrito was the best burrito I?ve ever had. Lots of space inside and out for seating, but busy with dine in and takeout orders. The staff was really lovely and accommodating. They gave me the wrong taco and were quick to rectify in an aboveand beyond manner. 10 ?? Read more
