We came here for my birthday dinner and I was not disappointed! The baked bree appetizer with pesto and red jelly was great. My... pepper encrusted new york strip was cooked perfectly and the whiskey peppercorn sauce just completed the dish. My grandmotherordered her steak wrong and was disappointed by how tough her medium-well was. However, our server Lucas didn't want her to beunhappy with it so he kindly insisted they remake the steak and the replacement was fantastic! I’m not a big fan of Keg considering my previous experience with them in Vancouver BUT this place definitely changed my mind!... My husband and me celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary and we had a Keg gift card so we just decided to give them anotherchance. And I don’t regret about it! Scallops with bacon, steak and lobster tale, wine and Sangria cocktail were outstanding,our server was very friendly and attentive but not annoying, the entire atmosphere was very pleasant and nice. This place was top notch. We were served by Ling and he was a delight as we celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary. He was... very polite and had that perfect balance between checking in often enough so that we were never left waiting for anything andallowing us time to enjoy the night without being too bothered. This Keg location basically made a great impression on us. We've been to The Keg a few times before. But it wasn't something... special. This time around it was different. Our waiter was just right. He was really knowledgeable and attentive. Caring for usbut not too pushy. Really quick with the service without compromising the quality. This restaurant should be proud of it'speople. We came here one day for supper when we were visiting Victoria. We really enjoyed the ambience and food. The service was good... and friendly. We had ribs, and prawns and tried the French Onion Soup. They were all good. To finish, we shared a CreamBrûlée. Very nice. Read more
The food was really really delicious and the atmosphere was decent. The staff are friendly and we were able to get a reservation... on a Sunday which we found nowhere else in Victoria you could do so we really appreciated that. There was a huge problem withmy steak and lobster dinner but the manager went above and beyond to fix the issue. The wine was really great as well. I woulddefinitely go back to The Keg and try again for another nice experience. Read more
The lobster appe was delish. We ordered the prime ribs. It's really tender and juicy, perfectly pink. The amount of seasoning on... the fat cap was well balanced. As the side, the mushroom rice was on the dry side. The good thing was there was enough au jusfor the beef and the rice. I also ordered the old fashioned. It was a bit too sweet. But still very good mix. The gentleman whoserved our table was very friendly and accommodating. We sat on the second floor by the window, where we could look down on theharbor.
