My favorite Indian food place in Victoria! Reasonable pricing, large portions, and a large menu!

Went in for a date night, as we usually get delivery from here and its always been amazing. But sadly service was the worst i've... had anywhere, place was a mess, despite being basically empty. Took 20 minutes too be seated and then another 15 before arefood/drink order was taken when we were the only people waiting. Food was fantastic as usual, but a dish we ordered was missedand just never came. Server didn't check in on us and after we finished eating took another 15 minutes too get are bill. I'dstick too delivery Read more

The worst restaurant in the world honestly if I could give zero reviews I would. The mild coconut curry was extremely spicy to... the point I'm sweating and the beef in the vindaloo was so tough I couldn't even get my fork in it Totally inconsistent foodquality, prices on their website are different than what they charge, they said food would be ready in 10-15.. got here in thattime then they said 10-15 more... Then after 15 minutes they said another the same thing. Their response to the food being wrongwas well that's just how it is.. Pathetic. Read more

After 5 years I thought it time to update my review of Mantra Tillicum. We eat there at least 3 or 4 times a month and, while... some dishes are more favored than others, we have never had anything less than good, fresh and artfully presented. The dailylunch buffet remains a favorite with always two meat/poultry/fish selections...one of which is their signature butter chicken ina rich mild/medium spiced sauce. The other offering seems to alternate between beef, chicken, goat curry and Chile fish. Wedon't eat goat, but the other selections are very good to great! The large selection of hot vegetarian dishes are wonderful aswell, with Chana and dal personal favorites. The buffet almost always has fresh Caesar salad and assorted cold veggies and/orfruit. Quality over the years remains high and always friendly server's ensure you have as much fresh baked Nan as you couldwant. Staff turnover appears low and it seems they have many regulars (like us) who enjoy the great food, comfortable atmosphereand friendly service. I suggest diners try Mantra for themselves and see if it does not become a personal favorite. When I seea totally negative and brutal review like the one below (which prompted this update) I have to wonder if there was more amissthan a less than satisfactory take-out experience. BOTTOM LINE: Great food, friendly service and real value. Cheers Read more

I've ordered here before and it was okay and decent value for money. However, I was very disappointed to receive a rancid lassi... with my order tonight. It's almost like it was sitting out for a day or so then placed back in the fridge to be sold. Is thereno quality control in this place? I took one sip and the smell and taste were horrid. My stomach also feels uneasy now. I thinkthis is my last order because I most certainly don't want to spend my hard earned money on food that will make me sick. Read more

This is what we got served yesterday night. This was awful. Paranthas Were unevenly stuffed and were very thick. This is the... second time we have received such breads. I think they have recently changed their Chefs….They have to do better to earncustomers. Read more

Very professional service and freindly staff. Food was awesome and they accomodated our restrictions (no onion garlic) with a... pretty smile on their face. Manchrian, shahi paneer and samosas were the best. Definitely recommend this place. P.S. Don'tforget to have the Chai...it was awesome! Read more
