We stayed at the Grand Pacific so it was nice to just go downstairs and grab HH. Glad we check the restaurant out. We enjoyed... the modern cozy atmosphere, warm welcome, and delicious drinks made by Chad. He is a character! We enjoy his company and drink alot! His negroni version is phenomenal! 4.5 stars really. Staff was attentive and friendly. Food was delicious, well excuted, with a twist. Newly renovated portion of... restaurant is beautiful (a portion till under renovation as of Sep). Yes, there may be better out there but I would also be veryhappy to come back (and likely will)! Read more

There are so many wonderful places to eat here but unfortunately this is not one of them. The descriptions in the menu are... beautiful but the execution is very disappointing. Most dishes had a very greasy taste with a real unpleasant aftertaste. Wefelt like the oil in the fryer needed to be changed and really just thought everything tasted like it came out of a fryer. Came here for afternoon tea in Victoria after comparing different places and other people’s reviews. They said the iconic... Empress Hotel’s afternoon tea was overpriced and highly overrated. Definitely come to Hotel Grand Pacific for a uniqueAsian-influenced alternative. First of all, the staff is wonderful, starting from the hotel concierge Murray who was so helpfuland friendly in giving us good suggestions on our day trip, to the wonderful back-of-house kitchen brigade who made fresh toorder our 3-tiered accoutrements, to our most amazing server, Timothy, who was so knowledgeable about teas and the menu andkind/accommodating- his service was impeccable and just took the experience to that whole other level. The teas and foodthemselves- probably the best presentation I’ve ever seen, and best flavor profiles with the subtle Asian fusion influences(I’ve had afternoon tea in London and at the Drake in Chicago, at Pendray here in Victoria as well, and several other places)-but here at Pacific restaurant- it has been the best overall experience of afternoon tea I’ve had so far. ????????????
