Delicious food served family style. They recommend 2-3 plates per couple. We had three which was plenty. Great wine selection.... Cocktails were tasty. Service was outstanding. Was busy but we were able to get a table without a wait. Would try the chef'schoice next time for sure. Read more
We were visiting from Ontario, and had heard good things about this place, and were really excited about it. Unfortunately, it... really didn't meet the expectations that we had. We ordered the potatoes, the ricotta toast and squid. To their credit, nothingwe ordered was bad, but it also wasn't great, and for the price point, I'm not sure I would pay for that again. Their drinksare pretty neat, and were delicious. I think if I were to recommend this place, I would to someone going for a drink + snack, ora great first date place. Ummm - where do I even start? Decor - the whole restaurant is a vibe. The small patio is great for people watching, the front... bar area is great for a busier feel, the back part of the restaurant is more intimate, then there is the back patio as well. It's astounding! Service - the staff is AMAZING. Very knowledgeable, very personable, and excited about the food and drinks. Ifyou go multiple times (I've now gone five times in five months....) they actually remember you AND the chef makes you a new dishthat is NOT on their menu! Drinks - their extensive wine, cocktail, and mocktail list is divine. I haven't had a bad glass ofanything yet! Menu - Folks - their menu changes with the season AND what is available from their suppliers. Which means - it'sall fresh. If you are going with two or more people (and you don't mind putting $79 pp) do the Chef's Tasting Menu. Not only isthe food high quality, but you get 9 dishes (including a palette cleanser) for that price. It's all family style (all sharing)AND you get individual tongs for serving. Well... this place lived up to the hype... and then some! Super cool concept here. Nice room, great staff, food is... fantastic. The family style meal is what brings it home for me (no pun intended). Let's you enjoy so much more than just yourmeal... really love this! I can't wait to go back and enjoy the omakase-like experience where the chef prepares a sampling oftheir menu items - I can't wait to get back! Went for dinner with our great friends and we had a great time. We had the chef's selections and what a fantastic choice. I'm... sure it changes frequently but from the salad to main course and the dessert were all fantastic. I would highly recommend theplace. Just make sure you go on an empty stomach. It's filling. And make sure if you're going on weekend evenings to make areservation. Read more
The food here is edible at best, it’s a mish mash of comfort food s and west coast fare. The best tasting thing of the 4... items we ordered was the duck breast because it was the only thing that had a balanced flavour profile. The dishes are almostthere but not quite reaching the point and at this price point it leaves me wanting more and expecting better. The other itemswere drenched in Parmesan cheese or oil despite them being the dishes the restaurant is known for. The service, ambiance, drinkswere great but the food was not worth (taste, plating, pricing). Is it casual? Is it upscale? Is it experimental? I’m notsure. Low key want my money back… Read more
Went with high anticipation. Loved their concept but was somewhat underwhelmed. The highlight of this entire experience was the... ricotta roast, I know it's simple but it was just perfectly done. Mac and cheese was great and fried chicken came way after 50mins of ordering and fell short of anticipation. Drinks were watered down, service felt Cold. Lovely atmosphere and great room. Read more
