I spent over 50.00 last night for dinner and I was so excited cause the sauces tasted really good, but the meat inside tasted... like it had been microwaved way to long so it was hard and chewy. The pork fried rice and mushu pork was good though. Verydisappointed with the sweet and sour pork and orange chicken. Read more

Good Food. They didn't have teriyaki chicken, they said the closest they had was House Of Joy Chicken. We got that and it was... pretty good. My kids devoured the food. We don't like peas and they were able to make the rice with no peas. Orange chicken wasjust okay. But the chow mein and Fried Rice and HOJ chicken was really good. Read more

Now that Golden Gate restaurant has new indifferent owners and reduced menu, House of Joy is best in High Desert, par none, for... 2+ years. Prices are good and value consistent. Asian staff always pleasant and helpful. Recommend! Read more

My wife and I really enjoyed this place. The waiters were really nice. Since we got there we received jasmine tea and appetizer.... The wonton soup was really flavorful, the egg rolls were crispy. Then we got the orange chicken which was fanatic. I do thinkthe chow main dish could have a little more flavor and the broccoli was a bit hard.We also got a sushi and it was the best Ihave tried in the high desert! Would come back just for the sushi! Over all I really like how we got a little of very thing andwe would recommend. Read more

Overall great culinary experience. Delicious food and great service. Very rare to find a place that still does tea service. Lots... of variety here so I recommend trying a dinner combo and getting several items. I recommend the the sweet and sour chicken andthe chicken chow mein. Try the egg flower soup and egg rolls. This is truly a hidden gem! Read more

Friendly service, although they were short staffed. I ordered the mixed seafood plate off of the lunch menu. It came with tea,... soup of the day (it was egg drop soup), rice, an egg roll and a wonton. The portion size was huge. In fact no one in our partywas able to finish their dish- the waitress gave us ?boxes? to take left over food home. I thought the price was more thanreasonable and the food was good. It wasn?t the best I had nor was it the worst. Read more
