We had such a great meal! My husband and I were visiting my home town and only had two hours to see them. We decided lunch made... the most sense. When my dad recommended Applebee's. I thought he had lost his mind. A chain restaurant? I'm so glad hementioned it. The service was great. The food was all hot, fresh, and correct. Nothing really great. The wonton tacos were okay but so much slaw and too much dressing made them a soggy disappointment. They... just don?t live up to the hype for me. The Cesar dressing was off I can?t pinpoint exactly why but I ended up not eating mysalad because it tasted spoiled. Fries are really overpriced for the amount you get in a takeout order. They were overcookedanother item we ended up not eating. Mozzarella sticks were disappointing too, overly greasy and not near as good as somethingyou can get yourself on the cheap from a freezer section at any local store. The club sandwich was actually good out ofeverything we ordered it was the only thing we ate all of. It?s the only thing I?d recommend. The fish was nothing but oil. Iwas looking forward to it but I couldn?t choke it down because of the grease it was floating in. Return visit with a friendtoday to see if done it was better than takeout. Nope down to 1 star and that?s a stretch. The waitress was horrible. The foodwasn?t much better. Never in my life have I been just left sitting for so long waiting to ask for napkins. Then this bugs me asa good handling concern. The waitress comes to our table to drop the check / while holding another tables desserts right in ourfaces and picks up OUR dirty dishes before trotting off to drop it at the table it went to that she had to PASS to even bringour check smh. Not sure about anyone else but yuck I?m Really not wanting another tables people or dirty dishes coming incontact with my food. One of the worst waitresses I?ve ever had. Not pictured was a steak and donut bit dessert. Reallyoverpriced bland steak and was well done when we ordered at medium rare. The donut bites were hard, like you get with old yeastdough. The atmosphere varies but one thing is certain this is the only Applebee's in West Virginia that if you don't pay attention to... the servers and where they work . You may end up in a bad section with bad services over 3 Months of eatiing here off and on andI've noticed if you sit to the right of the entrance you will get bad service . Wonderful atmosphere, a bit pricey but food was good. Sam was our waitress and she was on top of taking care of us.
