Very rude manager! Stated that Correctional Officers were not first responders and was not getting a discount. She said like you... work at the prison? We said yes and she said oh no your not a first responder, no discount and walked away. If my kids were nothungry we would have left. Very rude... we always get the discount. Again it's fine if they don't offer it but they have in thepast ... its just the way she said it and how rude she was! If she would have said it nicer I may have taken it better,especially since we order catering from there ALOT! Read more
This place is fantastic! Normally my husband is not a fan of buffets, but my son really wanted us to try it because he went with... co-workers recently and enjoyed it. My husband said it was the cleanest buffet he's ever seen. Everything we tried waswonderful and fresh! Pulled pork, fried chicken, ham, mashed potatoes, green beans, salad bar, so many pie options. DO NOT MISS THIS restaurant! The name is deceiving. This is an AMISH FOOD BUFFET, that happens to have BBQ on the menu. The food... is fresh, plentiful and wholly delicious. Multiple types of soup (a huge plus for us). They have the quintessential Ham & Beansoup?Amish style! Fresh baked bread continually. Home made apple butter and honey butter. At the end of your feasting they offeryou what desserts they have that were made fresh that day. You can then add (if you desire) to add self serve frozen custard icecream. Read more
Excellent food & service! Buffet style, fresh home cooking! Great fried chicken, pollock, BBQ pulled pork, soups, salads,... veges, homemade breads (yumm) & desserts, cobblers. I spent the summers of my high school years working labor jobs, saving every penny so I could afford to go to college without... debt. However, when I get home tonight, I will be sending in an application for student loans, because every dime in my savingsaccount will be going to this establishment. Im currently sitting in my chair, debating how long I should stay before leaving inorder to minimize the risk of making myself sick due to the sheer quantity of food I just ate. I cannot emphasize enough howdeeply, madly in love I am with this food. I do not know how I lived this long without their sweet potatoes, and I'm unsure howI'll continue eating without them. I ordered a chef salad, paid $8 something for it just to get shredded lettuce, a little bit of cheese, ham egg and onions. This... is what I normally or but it did not have what it normally has. I was so happy to get the salad until I got home and seen thedisappointment. If I am going to pay that much for a salad it should have what it normally has. Read more
Never a disappointment. But dang its expensive $$ ! Even w only 2 food bars & less selection tho they beat any non Chinese... buffet to hell ! We go when we can afford it. And the servers very attentive & nice. Read more
