My four friends and I went to the restaurant for our first meal at Martha’s Vineyard. We were greeted and seated. After we... received water, a gentleman came to the table and asked if we had a reservation? We replied we did not and he apologeticallysaid he needed to ask us to move because he thought we were the party with the reservation. We were never asked if we had areservation, we were just seated. We left the restaurant, the same gentleman came running behind us to say he has a table forus. We were seated, again and place our order for dinner (the waitress was great). Three of us ordered the Blue Swimmer Crab,which was described as lump crab, there was one piece of lump crab in the dish, it had more fillers than lump crab and theshrimp tempura was just okay. On our second day in Martha’s Vineyard we went to Martha’s Vineyard Chowder Company and thefood was superb from the starters, the cocktails and the entree. Simply delicious! By far the best place to eat on the island. Everything we ordered was unbelievably delicious, especially the fresh corn bread.... The staff is friendly and the service is good. Highly recommend. We have seen the Obamas here many times! Read more
Literally the worse restaurant I’ve ever been to.. the grossest waitstaff should be ashamed.. walked in spent 10 min... w/disgusting staff and walked right back out.. I’ve never left a bad review but everyone should just walk the other way.. Ican get dim lighting and cheesy aquatic ambiance literally anywhere else… Read more
Great spot. Service is super and cocktails are delightful. Food is solid. Last visit fries were cold and steak was almost to... salty to eat. Everyone has an off night. Previous visits had no such issues. Read more
The food here was so amazing, not a single one of us stopped to take a picture. From the corn bread (read: whole mini loaf) to... the gnocchi, my meal was perfectly done and so full of flavor. My friends had the toast and halibut dishes, and the rest of thenight we couldn't stop talking about how delicious everything was. One of the best places to eat on the Island. We split the crab appetizer, halibut, and garganelli. Everything was delicious and... the pasta was one of the best I’ve ever had. The sangria was also gingery, unique, and refreshing. Great staff, too. Read more

Roasted cabbage is something to write home about. Bouillabaisse was also pretty great. State Road has always been a family... favorite; happy to see the consistency at Beach Road. Would recommend to friends and family. Read more
