I eat here as often as I can for their Dailey specials are not only reasonable but tasty! One of myfavorites besides Wednesday and Saturday buffets (the chicken is most excellent) are the nights they serve Meatloaf (Tuesday),chicken fried steak (Monday) and spaghetti (Thursday)! Not that the remaining nights are bad or poor but these five nights(buffets too) are especially great. I sit at the counter and enjoy my meals, and sometimes visit with the other patrons. Oneolder gentleman, Tommy Coambs(?), passed away during the recent pandemic. He would sit at the counter almost every night andwatch his YouTube videos and I now learn he was an excellent basketball player, among other sports, in his day. But Idigress. So if you're ever in Virden, Illinois, you ought to plan on having a lunch or dinner special here at ShowtimesLanes! PS.. TRY their soups, especially the STUFFED PEPPER SOUP.
