We stopped for a quick bite to eat heading out of town. Got the chicken cheese steak. Well done! Great roll, chopped chicken and... just the right portion. Read more

Best pizza in Hampton Roads if you have good taste in pizza. Got 2 Hawaiian pies (took 1 home to reheat). Highly recommended!

Rude staff look at the post the owner wrote wow is all I can say. What he wrote was not correct at all. Nor was the owner or the... older men up front when everything went down. And to even tell a lie on Door dash shame on you. As the owner I would havecontacted the Dasher to find out exactly what happened. Not commented with a lie. Fact is this the young man you have workingfor you is out of control period. Think about it if I wouldn't have shown him the pH why did he go back and retrieve the orderfor me. And the older man that was first up at the counter even went back to finish the order way be for that young man came upfront to take over as if he owned the place. News flash so called Owner your employee lied to you that is not what happened atall, but obviously it's ok for ur staff to be rude and attack some one. OH u don't have to worry about me coming back not topick up or eat at ur restaurant.also when you tell ur lies keep in mind I had Door dash on the phone way before ur employeechased me out of the store when I showed him several times who I was and picking up for. I have been doing door dash for a longtime and have never had a problem until ur restaurant Read more

I was visiting my husband who is deployed on the nearby base. I ordered online and it gave me an estimate of 15 min. Fine. I... went to the gas station and checked my email. They moved the time up to about 30-40 minutes which was still fine. I went toKroger and then arrived 1 min. before latest time. It was a hot mess in there with a lot of confused looking employees. I waitedin line and told them my name so the guy went to check. He came back and said 15 more minutes. ??????? I finally get it back, westart eating, and it’s not done in the middle. I personally would not order or go back again. Read more

Fabulous pizza and cheesecake! After we gorged ourselves on the fresh hot pizza we finished off the cheesecake- some of the best... I've ever tasted!! About an hour later, we were wishing we had taken another slice of cheesecake home. We ordered an 18 inchpizza so we had leftovers of that. The pizza was cooked to perfection with a crispy crust and with the correct amount of sauce, cheese, and pepperoni. It was easily the best pepperoni pizza I've had anywhere. This place should make the list of "must eathere" in Norfolk! Read more

Update: I am giving Sal’s NY Pie 5 stars now because they took my comment about the sauce and changed it to a yummy thick... marinara sauce!! These gentlemen aim to please! Free garlic knots with a $20 purchase too! My husband’s favorite along withthe fried mushrooms. Previous review: Many restaurants have come and gone in this little corner and Sal’s NY Pie is thelatest to open here. This one is a keeper. We enjoyed wings and zucchini fries, salad and a beautiful calzone. We have goneback three times for calzones. They even opened for us after fireworks July 4th so we could get calzones to go. The crew isvery kind and grateful to have customers. They just need a good marinara sauce for the calzones. The sauce they serve tasteslike chunky spaghetti sauce. Not easy to dip the calzone in. There are several negative comments about how this restaurantopened. It would be unusually expedient for anyone to be able to get a rental agreement and permits in the short amount of timesince the unfortunate kitchen fire (at Sal’s on Pleasurehouse). Maybe they were already planning to open this restaurant. There are many Sal’s in Hampton Roads just like there are many Jade Garden Chinese restaurants. All different owners. Similarmenues, not a problem unless the menue was copyright protected. We could find a similar menu at a dozen other restaurants notnamed Sal’s. Plenty of customers to go around. When AJ reopens Sal’s on Pleasure House, we will eat there too! He has thebest marinara sauce! But please don’t drive this business to the ground with gossip. Everyone needs a chance to work. Givethem a try! Read more
