I'm surprised I haven't written a review of this place! Well, since I don't have any plans of going to Chicago, I had a taste of... it by ordering a Chicago-style deep dish pizza, a Chicago hot dog and an Italian beef sandwich. The pizza as I've had a goodmany times, great as always. The Chicago hot dog was good. The Italian beef sandwich was just alright. The bread roll it was onwasn't that great to me. I've brought many friends here to try the deep dish pizza and they've all be impressed. I took thepizza challenge about 5 years ago and got my picture on the wall for being the 2nd to complete the challenge with the fast timeof 10 minutes. Yeah, it was that good! Live less than 10 minutes away took 1 hour and 25 minutes to get order. 1 deep dish and 1 pepperoni pizza. However there was no... pepperoni when we called they stated it?s under the cheese, so I check and peel the cheese off three slices and no pepperoni.She then states the pepperoni is really small are you sure you don?t see it??? Are your pepperoni microscopic did you just tellme you up charge for pepperoni on my pizza but it?s so small I can?t see it!!!! Not pleased and if you are struggling withmaking orders/deliveries maybe turn off your online ordering and only do call ins to make sure your quality and customer servicefor time delivery can actual keep up. I?m so glad we tried Windy City. We were in the mood for pizza and live right down the road. We got their version of the white... pizza on traditional crust, loaded fries and fried pickle spears. Everything was very good, especially the pizza. The crust isdelicious and very generous with their portions. Will definitely order again! Read more
Love windy city. Their deep dish is my favorite, but we also occasionally get the traditional crust. I still need to try the... thin crust, but the pizza is consistently hot and delicious. Love the topping selections. This is our go-to pizza place. Read more
I ordered online at 5:29 total cost 40.03!! For 2 pizzas!!! The Expected time to be ready was 5:54. But knowing I ordered a deep... dish I knew it was going to take longer but I did not expect an extra 45 min wait for a deep dish that was good and a thincrust that tasted worse than frozen. Definitely not worth it.. It was not really busy but there was a couple people waiting. Iam in the food retail business and can honestly say this was very poor service!!! No sorry for the wait or any apology at allfor that matter. Great authentic Chicago style pizza! Be prepared to wait though, Chicago style takes a long time to bake, it is worth it though.
